
Various parts of Jharkhand received moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday (September 23) and an alert has been issued for many districts. An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. The IMD has released ‘Orange’ alert (be prepared) for Eastern and West Singhbhum, Simdega and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts till 8.30 am on Wednesday and ‘Yellow’ alert (be careful) for Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Dhanbad, Lohardaga, Khunti, Ramgarh districts.
The official said that for East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Khunti, Ranchi and Gumla, 24 September to 25 September to 25 September, and for Gumla, Khunti, West, West Singhbhum and Simdega from September 25, on September 25, on September 25, there has been a huge rain.

Ranchi Meteorological Center Deputy Director Abhishek Anand said that light to moderate rains in Jharkhand and heavy rains in some areas of southern and central parts for the next three days. Possibility of low pressure around 25 September
Anand also said that another new low pressure is likely to be created around 25 September, but it is not likely to have much impact on Jharkhand. Ranchi has been receiving light to moderate rainfall since Tuesday morning and there is a possibility of heavy rains on Wednesday. Officials said that between June 1 and September 23, the state recorded 18 percent more rainfall than normal. During this period, the eastern state received 1,156.3 mm of rainfall compared to normal 977.3 mm.
Durga Puja festival disrupted rain
The official said that East Singhbhum district received the highest number of surplus rainfall while Seraikela-Kharsawan recorded 51 percent and Ranchi recorded 47 percent more rainfall. The continuous rains have disturbed the Durga Puja festival and the worship committees say that they have already postponed the preparations for the pandal due to the rain.
