
A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Chakan city of Pune district of Maharashtra where a pack of stray dogs attacked and killed a woman. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced in which the woman can be seen trying to defend herself by picking up a stone but she proved helpless in front of the pack of dogs and died within just 15 minutes.
The deceased woman has been identified as Shobha Vijay Waghmare. She was originally from Deglur in Nanded district and was currently living in Chakan area. At around 2 o’clock on the night of Monday, March 16, when she was walking on the service road under the flyover near Ambetan Chowk, she was suddenly attacked by a pack of about six stray dogs.
Rescued from stone, died within 15 minutes
It can be clearly seen in the CCTV footage that the woman tried her best to drive away the dogs by picking up stones but she proved to be helpless alone in front of a pack of six dogs. The dogs left deep wounds on his hands, legs, face and neck. He died on the spot within about 15 minutes due to excessive bleeding.
Dead body found in semi-nude condition in the morning, suspicion of first murder
In the morning, when the local people saw the half-naked body of the woman, panic spread in the entire area. Initially there was suspicion of murder or sexual assault. However, after examining the CCTV footage, the police confirmed that the incident was the result of an attack by stray dogs. After this painful incident, the increasing menace of stray dogs in Chakan area has once again come into limelight. An atmosphere of fear has arisen among the citizens and the local people have demanded the administration to take immediate steps to solve this serious problem.
