Patalkot Ghati MP: There is many mention in the Puranas that there is a mysterious folk under the earth, where there is always darkness. The demons reside here, which is called Patal Lok. However, no one could find it till date. But you will be surprised to know that there is one such place in Madhya Pradesh, which looks exactly like Hades.

The stories of heaven and heaven have been narrated since childhood. It is believed that deities live in heaven and Asura in Hades. The Earth is considered between these two worlds. But in reality neither no one saw heaven nor Hades. This is the reason why people kept considering it as imagination.

But, there is such a valley in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, which you will feel that you have really come to the Hades. This place is called Patalkot. The view here is so amazing and mysterious that people connect it with the Hades situated under the earth.

The Patalkot Valley is located about 80 km from Chhindwara. It extends about 1700 feet below the high hills of Satpura. When you stand down on top of the valley, it seems as if the earth is suddenly exploding and showing you the way to another world.

The biggest feature of this valley is that there is a few hours of sunlight and then the darkness spreads. Because, due to the high mountains and dense forests, the sunlight reaches the valley very late in every way. There are many villages in the valley where there is never sunlight. At the same time, there is only light for two hours in the villages where there is sunlight.

There are about 12 villages in the Patalkot Valley. People of Gond and Bharia tribes live here. To reach these villages, one has to pass through standing climb and narrow paths. The tribal people here live a very simple life and are completely dependent on the forest and nature.

The history of this valley is as interesting as it is. It is believed that when Rama and Ravana were being warned during the Ramayana period, then Ravana’s son Meghnath came here to worship Lord Shiva. Then Hanuman ji arrived here with his monkey army and dissolved his worship. This is the reason that this place also has religious importance.

Patalkot is not only associated with mythology, but is also full of natural treasures. Many medicinal plants and herbs are found in the forests here. Tribals use them in the treatment of diseases. Many scientists and researchers also come here to study these rare flora.

Patalkot Valley has also become a big tourist destination in Madhya Pradesh today. Tourists coming here are mesmerized by listening to the deep valley, dark -covered villages and mythology. This place really makes it feel as if the world of Hades has come down on the earth by ripping the ground.
