Big action in handshake controversy, PCB suspended ICC directorIndian captain Suryakumar Yadav did not join hands with Pakistani players
New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been stunned since the Indian cricket team faced disrespect in the Asia Cup. During the toss in the match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav did not join hands with Pakistani captain Salman Aga. At the same time, even after the match was over, he immediately went to the dressing room. The PCB confirmed on Monday that it had suspended its international cricket director Usman Vahla after a handshake controversy during the match against India in the Asia Cup 2025.

The PCB has taken this big decision after being humiliated by the Indian team publicly in the Asia Cup. According to sources, Vahla was removed from his post due to delay in releasing the match referee’s conduct and India’s action. It is being told that the board was dissatisfied with the delay of several hours.

The development has come amid increasing tension between Pakistan and India in Dubai after a high-profile match. India won by seven wickets. The controversy began during the match when the match referee Andy Paiyoft instructed the two captains to avoid traditional handshakes at the time of the toss. The situation worsened after the match when the Indian player, under the leadership of captain Suryakumar Yadav, ignored Pakistan’s lineup directly into the dressing room and refused the handshake after the traditional match.
