PCB said No player was fined: After being out of Super-8 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, there was talk of a fine of Rs 50 lakh on each player of Pakistan cricket team, but now PCB has denied it. PCB has said in a statement that no penalty will be imposed on any player.

Pakistani players will not be fined
New Delhi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday said it has not fined any member of the team for failing to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. According to media reports, the players were fined after the Pakistan team was eliminated from the Super Eight stage, but PCB spokesperson Aamir Mir denied this.
Mir told reporters here, “No player has been fined, but the board is thinking of preparing a formula for the players because they get good incentives if they perform well.” He said that now Pakistan players get around six-seven crore Pakistani rupees and hence the board is considering holding them responsible for their performance.
Every player was to be fined Rs 50 lakh
Mir said, “But no final decision has been taken yet and no fine has been imposed on any player.” According to reports, Pakistan players were fined PKR 50 lakh each after failing to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. Apart from match and tour fees, Pakistani cricketers get money as monthly retainer for central contracts. Apart from this, they also get bonuses for winning matches in different categories.
Players also get some share from the money from the sponsorship agreement of the board. Last year it was also agreed that the players would get three percent of the annual revenue of approximately US$34 million per year received by the PCB from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
