The Sri Lankan team, who came out to bat first after losing the toss in the Asia Cup Super-4 match, scored 133 for eight wickets in 20 overs thanks to Kamindu Mendis’ half-century innings. In response, Pakistan scored 138 for five in 18 overs on the basis of an unbeaten half -century partnership of Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz and took the match.
