‘Now Israel will not attack’, Trump’s attitude softens after Iranian attack on the world’s largest LNG infrastructure in Qatar

0

US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that Washington could blow up the South Pars gas field on a large scale if Tehran launches more attacks on Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, as the growing conflict in the Middle East threatens global energy supplies.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he did not want to authorize such destruction, but would do so if Qatar’s LNG facilities were targeted again. The US President said that I do not want to authorize this level of violence because it will have a very bad impact on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is attacked again then I will not hesitate to do so.

What did Qatar Energy say?
This warning comes at a time when Qatar has said that Iranian missile attacks have caused severe damage to additional LNG sites in the country. Qatar’s state oil and gas company Qatar Energy said Thursday that the missile attacks had damaged facilities and caused major fires. Firefighters are busy extinguishing the fire and there is no news of anyone being injured so far.

These attacks on Qatar followed Israel’s attack on Iran’s South Pars natural gas field located in the Persian Gulf, which Iran and Qatar share. Tehran condemned the attack and Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian warned of uncontrolled consequences that could engulf the world.

What did Donald Trump say?
Donald Trump also said that America had no role in the recent attack on Iran’s huge South Pars natural gas field and Qatar was also not involved in it. Trump wrote, “Outraged by what has happened in the Middle East, Israel has attacked a major gas plant in Iran’s South Pars gas field.” He said the attack targeted only a relatively small part of the huge plant and stressed that Washington was not informed of the attack.

Now Israel will not attack- Trump
Trump also indicated that Israel would not launch any further attacks on gas fields unless Iran attacks Qatar again. He wrote, “There will be no further attacks by Israel on this extremely important and valuable South Pars area.

Has Qatar’s back been broken by Iran’s attack?: 17 percent of the country’s Lng production stopped, will take three to five years to repair – Iran Attacks Wipe Out 17 Percentage Of Qatar’s Lng Capacity Exports Five Years To Repair Them

The ongoing war in West Asia is now taking the shape of a global energy crisis. The Qatar gas plant that was attacked produced about 17 percent of the country’s total LNG production. This attack has caused huge damage and it may take three to five years to completely repair it. Due to this, the possibility of impact on gas supply and prices across the world has increased. In such a situation, this is a big loss for Qatar. Not only this, this attack has also increased the problems of those countries which were taking this gas from Qatar.

QatarEnergy head Saad al-Kaabi said that major infrastructure related to LNG production has been damaged in the attack. It cost about 26 billion dollars to build this plant. He said that due to this loss, Qatar may have to invoke force majeure in many of its long-term gas supply agreements. This will impact countries like Italy, Belgium, South Korea and China, which take gas from Qatar. This is the main reason why after this attack many countries appealed to stop the war. After this attack, America has also gone on the back foot somewhere. Because he called this attack an Israeli attack and said that we were not aware of it.

What is the major impact of the attack?
This attack has shocked the global energy market. Due to reduction in LNG supply, gas prices may increase in many countries. Experts believe that due to prolonged production disruption, the energy crisis may deepen and the search for alternative sources will intensify. At the same time, there are chances of inflation increasing in many countries.

What did Qatar say?
Qatar’s Prime Minister has called this attack a big shock. He said that this has raised questions on regional relations and trust has been broken. However, he also said that Qatar wants peace and wants to maintain good relations with the people of Iran.

Will food security also be affected?
The World Trade Organization has warned that this war could also affect global food security. A large amount of the world’s fertilizer and energy supplies pass through the Strait of Hormuz. If it is disrupted, the cost of farming will increase and food production will be affected.

Will the global crisis increase?
Increasing pressure on both energy and food sectors may affect the economy of many countries of the world. If the situation does not improve soon, inflation will increase and the pressure on the supply chain will deepen. In such a situation, now everyone’s eyes are on when and how this crisis will end.

Delhi News: Important comment of Delhi High Court, asking wife to take care of family is not a crime

0

Delhi High Court has said in an important decision that asking the wife to help in taking care of other family members by the husband or in-laws cannot in itself be considered cruelty. Making this comment, the single bench of Justice Nina Bansal canceled the FIR registered on the complaint of a woman and the legal proceedings related to it. This case was related to the complaint in which the wife had filed a case against her husband and in-laws under Section 498A IPC, Section 406 IPC and Domestic Violence Act 2005.

Allegations are general and vague, no concrete information – Court

During the hearing, Delhi High Court found that most of the allegations made by the woman were very general and vague. There was no concrete information in them which could prove that any cruelty or crime had actually been committed against him. The court said that the things mentioned in the complaint at most reflect normal domestic disputes and mutual differences between husband and wife and not any criminal act.

Sister-in-law’s interference in money – court said

The woman had alleged that her unmarried sister-in-law controlled the decisions related to her husband’s money and property. On this, the court said that if a sister handles the financial affairs of her brother, then there is nothing unusual or wrong in it, especially when the brother is unmarried or there is a trend in the family. The court also said that the complaint did not mention how the woman was actually harmed by this alleged control.

Dowry taunts, keeping mother-in-law along and responsibility of brother-in-law’s son

The woman had said that she was taunted for not bringing enough dowry, but the court said that this allegation was also made without any specific incident or details. The woman also said that her in-laws forced her to keep her mother-in-law in her mother’s house in Delhi from November to March every year.

On this, the court said that the mother-in-law living with the daughter-in-law for a few months is not cruelty in itself. On the allegation of brother-in-law pressuring him to take permanent responsibility of his 11 year old son, the court clearly said that asking someone to help in taking care of a family member does not fall in the category of cruelty.

Even the charges under Section 406 did not stand.

The court found that the allegations made by the woman under Section 406 IPC did not mention to whom her ‘Stree Dhan’ was handed over or how it was misused. Considering all these facts, the court said that the case does not deserve a criminal trial and canceled the FIR registered against the husband and his family and the ongoing proceedings under the Domestic Violence Act.
