A Chicago mother and nursing student was left fearing for her family’s safety after video shows the moment she came home to find three alleged squatters inside her home – with two strangers lying in her bed, naked.

Yanicee Miles, a 27-year-old mother of three, came home to find three strangers inside her first-floor Chicago apartment around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to FOX 32.

“Two weeks before, I got a call when I was at work, and they told me that somebody kicked down my door,” Miles said, adding that she did not expect to see anyone inside her home.

When Miles arrived at her home on Sunday, she found the alleged squatters had returned – with two individuals making themselves at home in her bedroom.

Police take down 373,000 fake CSAM sites in Operation Alice

Police take down 373,000 fake CSAM sites in Operation Alice

An international law enforcement action called Operation Alice has shut down over 373,000 dark web sites that offered fake CSAM packages.

The investigation, led by Germany and supported by Europol, began in mid-2021 and focused on a platform called “Alice with Violence CP,” operated by a 35-year-old suspect based in China.

These sites advertised child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and cybercrime-as-a-service offerings, including stolen credit card data and access to compromised systems.

According to Europol, the sites used showed previews of claimed CSAM “packages” to trick users into entering their email addresses and paying between EUR 17 and EUR 250 in Bitcoin, receiving nothing in return.

“Each package had an estimated cost of between EUR 17 and EUR 215, and promised data volumes ranging from a few gigabytes to several terabytes of CSAM,” explains Europol.

“However, these were purely fraudulent sites where CSAM was advertised and previewed but never delivered.”

The fraudulent CSAM platform fooled around 10,000 users into paying roughly $400,000 to the operator of the sites. Of those, the authorities have identified 440 users in 23 countries, and are currently investigating 100 of them.

Although these people never received the illegal material, they still tried to purchase CSAM, financially supporting child abuse and demonstrating criminal intent. Even attempting to buy such material is prosecuted in many jurisdictions.

At its peak, the scam network’s infrastructure comprised 287 servers, with a significant portion (105) located in Germany, all of which have now been seized. German authorities have also issued an international arrest warrant for the Chinese operator.

Europol highlights its broader child protection work, including the Help4U support platform launched in November 2025, and its “Stop Child Abuse – Trace an Object” initiative, which invites people to identify the origin of objects seen in CSAM material that may lead to the identification of perpetrators, and the saving of children from abuse.

Cuba ‘categorically’ rejects prospect of removing Diaz-Canel in US talks | Miguel Diaz-Canel News

0

A top official in the Cuban government has denied “categorically” that Havana is negotiating with the United States over the fate of its president, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

On Friday, Vice Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio told a news conference that shake-ups in the government were not up for discussion.

“The political system of Cuba is not up for negotiation, and of course neither the president ‌nor the position of any official in Cuba is subject to negotiation with the United States,” Fernandez de Cossio said.

His remarks were a firm repudiation of reports that the administration of United States President Donald Trump was seeking the removal of Diaz-Canel.

The New York Times reported earlier this week that, while Trump is pushing for Diaz-Canel’s ouster, he is not seeking the dismantlement of other parts of the Cuban government.

The plan would be similar to what Trump implemented in Venezuela after his January 3 attack to abduct and imprison Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. That manoeuvre left intact the rest of Maduro’s government.

Critics point out, however, that carrying out such a plan in Cuba would leave the family of longtime leader Fidel Castro in positions of power — and it would stop short of dismantling a government long accused of violent repression against its people.

Diaz-Canel is the first president in Cuba not to be a part of the Castro family since 1976.

Fidel Castro led the country from the time of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 until 2008, and his brother Raul Castro succeeded him as president from 2008 to 2018.

According to a constitutional reform set in 2019, presidents in Cuba serve five-year terms, which means Diaz-Canel will reach the end of his second term in 2028.

Diaz-Canel also serves as the head of the island’s Communist Party, a position he assumed in 2021. That, too, has a five-year term.

But Trump has repeatedly indicated he would like to see Cuba’s communist leadership fall quickly, and he has implemented a series of measures to weaken the government.

On January 11, Trump announced that Venezuela, a close regional ally of Cuba, would no longer exchange oil or funds with the island.

Then, on January 29, Trump issued an executive order labelling Cuba an “unusual and extraordinary threat” to the US.

To address the “national emergency”, Trump pledged to impose steep import taxes on any country that sent oil to Cuba, effectively placing the island under a fuel blockade.

Cuba’s ageing energy grid relies on fossil fuels to provide the country with electricity. This week, after nearly six weeks without oil imports, Cuba briefly found itself in the grips of an islandwide blackout, affecting nearly 10 million people.

The United Nations has warned of humanitarian “collapse” on the island, as conditions worsen.

Already, Cuba has been under a total trade embargo from the US since the Cold War in the 1960s.

With the US only about 145 kilometres (90 miles) away, critics have blamed the embargo for destabilising the island’s economy, in addition to government mismanagement.

While tensions between the US and Cuba briefly eased in 2016, Trump took office for his first term the following year, and he reimposed US restrictions on travel and trade that had been briefly lifted.

He has continued that “maximum pressure” campaign into his second term, which began in January 2025. The Cuban government has acknowledged it is in talks with the Trump administration to lift the current fuel blockade.

Trump, meanwhile, has floated the idea of leading a “friendly takeover” of Cuba, describing its government as being “in its last moments of life“.

“I do believe I’ll be the honour [sic], having the honour of taking Cuba. That’d be good. It’s a big honour,” Trump said on Monday from the Oval Office.

“Whether I free it, take it, I think I could do anything I want with it, if you want to know the truth. They’re a very weakened nation right now.”

Legal experts, however, have warned that such threats amount to a violation of Cuban sovereignty.

In his remarks on Friday, Fernandez de Cossio did say that Cuba was willing to negotiate with the US in areas like trade.

He noted that Cuba is seeking compensation for damages wrought by the US embargo, and that there are 5,913 claims from the US for property nationalised during the Cuban Revolution.

“These are very complex issues that can be discussed, but they require dialogue,” Fernandez de Cossio said. “They require sitting down and are legitimate matters.”

Gov. JB Pritzker calls for criminal prosecution of Trump officials

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Illinois Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker said that Democrats should seek criminal prosecution against Trump administration and law enforcement officials who have “broken the law” if they were to gain control of the White House in 2028.

Pritzker, who is running for a third gubernatorial term, sat down for an interview with the New York Times in which he proposed Democrats adopt their own version of Project 2025 — the Heritage Foundation’s conservative policy blueprint for presidential administrations released in nearly every election cycle since the 1980s. Pritzker dubbed the Democrats’ counter “Project 2029,” urging it to be quickly implemented to “restore the rule of law.”

“I don’t think you can speak of it in shorthand, but we’ve got to restore the rule of law, and that means holding people accountable who’ve broken the law,” Pritzker said. “I’m talking about the people in this administration who’ve broken the law and federal agents who’ve broken the law.”

New York Times reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro asked Pritzker whether this meant Trump officials and law enforcement agents would face criminal prosecution.

“Criminally prosecuted, civilly prosecuted,” Pritzker said. “Whatever it is that we can do.”

Trump and Pritzker have been at odds over Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda for months.

Last October, Pritzker filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over its deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago. The lawsuit argued that the deployment of the National Guardsmen to the Windy City was “unconstitutional and/or unlawful.”

U.S. District Judge April Perry issued a temporary restraining order preventing the deployment of National Guard troops to the state as the lawsuit worked its way through the legal system. The Supreme Court also upheld Perry’s decision. The Trump administration withdrew federal troops from the state in January.

Pritzker and Trump have also clashed over the tactics used by federal immigration enforcement agents in Illinois. Pritzker has accused federal agents of “waging war on our people” and “acting like jackbooted thugs.”

The Trump administration faces another lawsuit stemming from accusations of immigration enforcement agents’ alleged misconduct during Operation Midway Blitz in Chicago. Plaintiffs in the lawsuit accused federal agents of violating protesters’ constitutional rights through their use of tear gas and force. District Judge Sara Ellis issued a preliminary injunction barring federal agents’ use of force and tear gas on protesters, but an appeals court overturned her decision earlier this month.

Fox News Digital reached out to Pritzker’s office and the White House for comment.

Magento PolyShell Flaw Enables Unauthenticated Uploads, RCE and Account Takeover

0

Ravie LakshmananMar 20, 2026Web Security / Vulnerability

Sansec is warning of a critical security flaw in Magento’s REST API that could allow unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary executables and achieve code execution and account takeover.

The vulnerability has been codenamed PolyShell by Sansec owing to the fact that the attack hinges on disguising malicious code as an image. There is no evidence that the shortcoming has been exploited in the wild. The unrestricted file upload flaw affects all Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce versions up to 2.4.9-alpha2.

The Dutch security firm said the problem stems from the fact that Magento’s REST API accepts file uploads as part of the custom options for the cart item.

“When a product option has type ‘file,’ Magento processes an embedded file_info object containing base64-encoded file data, a MIME type, and a filename,” it said. “The file is written to pub/media/custom_options/quote/ on the server.”

Depending on the web server configuration, the flaw can enable remote code execution via PHP upload or account takeover via stored XSS.

Sansec also noted that Adobe fixed the issue in the 2.4.9 pre-release branch as part of APSB25-94, but leaves current production versions without an isolated patch.

“While Adobe provides a sample web server configuration that would largely limit the fallout, the majority of stores use a custom configuration from their hosting provider,” it added.

To mitigate any potential risk, e-commerce storefronts are advised to perform the following steps –

  • Restrict access to the upload directory (“pub/media/custom_options/”).
  • Verify that nginx or Apache rules prevent access to the directory.
  • Scan the stores for web shells, backdoors, and other malware.

“Blocking access does not block uploads, so people will still be able to upload malicious code if you aren’t using a specialized WAF [Web Application Firewall],” Sansec said.

The development comes as Netcraft flagged an ongoing campaign involving the compromise and defacement of thousands of Magento e-commerce sites across multiple sectors and geographies. The activity, which commenced on February 27, 2026, involves the threat actor uploading plaintext files to publicly accessible web directories.

“Attackers have deployed defacement txt files across approximately 15,000 hostnames spanning 7,500 domains, including infrastructure associated with prominent global brands, e-commerce platforms, and government services,” security researcher Gina Chow said.

It’s currently not clear if the attacks are exploiting a specific Magento vulnerability or misconfiguration, and it’s the work of a single threat actor. The campaign has impacted infrastructure belonging to several globally recognized brands, including Asus, FedEx, Fiat, Lindt, Toyota, and Yamaha, among others.

The Hacker News has also reached out to Netcraft to understand if this activity has a connection to PolyShell, and we will update the story if we hear back.

Trump administration sues Harvard over alleged campus antisemitism

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The Trump administration filed a lawsuit Friday against Harvard University, alleging that it failed to protect Jewish and Israeli students by essentially enabling antisemitism on campus in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023, attack against Israel by Hamas.

The 44-page lawsuit, filed in Massachusetts, is the latest in an ongoing battle between the White House and the Ivy League school. The complaint alleges that Harvard has tolerated antisemitic mobs comprised of students, faculty members and visitors opposed to Israel and has acted with indifference by selectively enforcing its campus rules to permit the continuation of the harassment.

“Harvard University has failed to protect its Jewish students from harassment and has allowed discrimination to wreak havoc on its campus,” a White House spokesperson told Fox News. “President Trump is committed to ensuring every student can pursue their academic goals in a safe environment.”

The administration is seeking to recover billions of taxpayer dollars given to the elite university by federal agencies.

“Since October 7th, 2023, too many of our educational institutions have allowed anti-Semitism to flourish on campus – Harvard included,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Today’s litigation underscores the Trump Administration’s commitment to demanding better from our nation’s schools and putting an end to discriminatory behavior that harms students.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Harvard spokesperson said the university “cares deeply” about its Jewish and Israeli students and remains committed to making sure they are embraced and respected.

“Our actions illustrate this. Harvard has taken substantive, proactive steps to address the root causes of antisemitism and actively enforces anti-harassment and anti-discrimination rules and policies on campus,” the statement said. “We also have enhanced training and education on antisemitism for students, faculty, and staff and launched programs to promote civil dialogue and respectful disagreement inside and outside the classroom. Harvard’s efforts demonstrate the very opposite of deliberate indifference.”

The school said it will continue to prioritize such work and defend itself, calling the lawsuit “yet another pretextual and retaliatory action by the administration for refusing to turn over control of Harvard to the federal government.”

Friday’s lawsuit is another in the protracted battle between Havard and President Donald Trump. In June, the administration said a civil rights investigation had led to a formal finding that Harvard tolerated antisemitism.

“Harvard remained deliberately indifferent to a level of hostility on its campus so well-known across the nation that members of Congress were writing about it,” government lawyers wrote. “Harvard also intentionally refused to enforce its campus rules — rules it enforced against others — when the victims were Jews or Israelis. This sent the clear message to Harvard’s Jewish and Israeli community that the indifference was not an accident; they were being intentionally excluded and effectively denied equal access to educational opportunities.”

Last year, the school sued the Trump administration over the freezing of federal funds. A judge blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to freeze Harvard’s federal funds.

The Internal Revenue Service was also considering stripping Harvard of its tax-exempt status.

Harvard is slated to receive more than $2.6 billion from the Department of Health and Human Services, the Justice Department said.

In February, the Trump administration said it was seeking to recover $1 billion in damages from Harvard, the main target in its attempt to leverage federal funding in order to crack down on antisemitism on college campuses.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said institutions that take taxpayer funds are obligated to protect civil rights.

“We hold Harvard accountable on the principle that antisemitism has no place in any program funded by the American people,” he said.
