During the last 6 months, by executing 7 lakh kg of wet garbage in only 2 wards in SDMC, he has done a unique job of making 1 lakh kg of organic compost manure from it. By making this fertilizer, SDMC has got support in disposing of garbage. At the same time, he has also saved an amount of about Rs 7,00,000 to be spent in garbage loading. According to the market, the price of this fertilizer has been estimated at around ₹ 25,00,000.

Let us tell you that SDMC Ward no. 5 Tagore Garden and Ward No 9 had set up a 5 TDP capacity aerobic compost plant located in Subhash Nagar. Both these plants have cost ₹ 1,00,000 so far, while MCD has prepared fertilizer of about Rs 25,00,000 from these plants, in 6 months, 7,00,000 kg of wet waste has also been disposed of, it is settled in the same area instead of going to the garbage lendfil site.

This compost manure was distributed to the Horticulture Department, schools and RWA of the Southern Corporation.

Today, on Saturday, 10,000 kg of organic fertilizer was given to the Department of Tagore Garden and Subhash Nagar from Compost Plant. Till now it has been used in 156 parks and will be used in more parks. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh and Nodal Officer of Swachh Bharat Mission Rajiv Jain and other senior officials of the corporation were present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Rajiv Jain, the nodal officer of Swachh Bharat Mission, said that it is the lowest cost of Delhi’s Compost Plant. Here, a little soil and old manure is added to the waste garbage to make organic manure and this fertilizer is prepared in different modules such as drum composters, forged boxes of different sizes.

Nodal officer Jain said that it takes only three weeks to make fertilizer. At present, separate separation of wet and dry garbage is being done in all 29 wards of the western region.

Jain said that if the price of organic fertilizer is estimated at the rate of Rs 25 per kg, then its total price is 25 lakh rupees while the cost of construction of the entire compost plant is only 1 lakh rupees. Which shows that it is an affordable option for the execution of organic waste.

Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh appreciated the project. Such plants will be able to reduce the burden of landfill sites. In the last six months, we have reduced 7,00,000 kg of garbage from the landfill site. We have saved Rs 7 lakh in the item of garbage transportation from homes to landfill sites.

This effort is environmentally friendly and is also proving helpful in reducing garbage. He said that organic manure will also be distributed to citizens for free so that they can be motivated to separate the waste and wet garbage separately.

After nearly 10 years of research and hard work, Sijoy made a special machine to peel coconut. This machine not only peeling a coconut in 40 seconds, but also cuts its mild rigid peel in the shape of one millimeter, which can be fed to animals in the form of fodder. For this, he prepared a prototype of the machine first using his training course knowledge and his work experience in Saudi Arabia. In 2015, he filed a patent for his prototype. In the year 2017, he received a patent.

Partnership with supermarket started after making machine
Sijoy has resolved his business in the name of ‘Kukkos Industries’. He also partnered with several supermarkets to sell peeled coconut. He used to buy coconut from the local people and gave the supermarket with coconut peeled at the rate of 30 rupees. But, after a few months he stopped it. According to him, he wanted that it was necessary to improve it according to the market for more earning from this machine. After this, Sijoy has made some changes in the machine. He has now installed a 750 watt motor in it so that 60 to 80 coconut can be sprayed in an hour. He says, “Professional models are not available in the market yet. But when I make all the changes, I will provide some machines in Thrissur district. For a year, I will look at the work of the machine, if there is any problem, I will fix it, prepare a last model, which can be sold across the country. ”

According to the information, a technical team of the office of the Principal Scientific Advisor of the Government of India along with senior representatives of East Delhi Municipal Corporation and Central Road Research Institute visited three sites. But for this, Kalyan Puri has been finalized as Pilot Project Road. The pilot project is being developed under the Sapanda Mission from the garbage of the office of the Chief Scientific Advisor.

Waste to Wealth Mission (West to Wealth Mission) is one of the nine scientific missions of the Prime Minister’s Science Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council, which is the basis of technologies from garbage, recognizing the technologies from garbage, by testing on the activities.

Water bill reduced by 30 percent in just one month in grandmother’s house
According to Rishabh, only one month after fitting of an aitor, we saw a cut of up to 30% in the water bill of grandmother’s house. Earlier his bill used to come to about 340 rupees but it has come down to 250 rupees. After this, he contacted the Residents Association of his Housing Society and gave this solution. Then two arators were fitted in each apartment. Each house paid for the aitor, which was worth around Rs 300 per unit. Rishabh says that this reduced water consumption in the society within a year and saved 20 lakh liters of water. After this, Rishabh contacted two Marriott Hotels in Cochin, Kerala. Here too, both hotels saved about 50 lakh liters of water in a year.

Target to save one crore liters of water this year
On this success, Rishabh contacted his school principal Indira Jaikrishnan. Rishabh’s idea has carried forward the school initiative further. In the year 2021, Rishabh is expecting his initiative to reach more schools, hotels, cinemas across the city and malls. Their purpose is to help save one crore liters of water in the city.
