A new poll shows the race tightening for the Democratic primary in Massachusetts, with challenger Rep. Seth Moulton closing in on Sen. Ed Markey.
The race is one of the most hotly contested primaries in the country, with the more progressive Markey having led by as much as 20 points in previous polls, according to Axios.
Markey, 79, who has held his seat since 2013, has the backing of the Democratic establishment, with the 47-year-old congressman looking to unseat him.
Just last month, Markey comfortably led Moulton 47-30% in a Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll, according to Boston.com.

Markey has the backing of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, while Moulton, who is considered more centrist, has been endorsed by groups like VoteVets PAC and the Massachusetts Teamsters.
In the new Emerson College poll that shows Markey leading Mouton 37-32%, 29% of voters remain undecided. Only 2% of voters back other candidates in the race.
“Senator Markey leads the Democratic primary by 13 points among registered Democrats, while Rep. Moulton holds a 38% to 32% edge among unenrolled voters,” Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said. “Markey leads women 37% to 29%, while men are essentially split, with 38% backing Moulton and 37% Markey.”

“Notably, groups that are more favorable toward Markey, including women and young voters, are also more undecided than their counterparts; women are ten points more undecided than men (33% to 23%), and 39% of voters under 50 are undecided compared to 21% of voters over 50,” Kimball added.

Former President Barack Obama and comedian Larry David previewed their upcoming HBO Max series “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” in a new teaser on Thursday.
“I have sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of the globe’s most intractable problems,” Obama said in the video. “Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David. I’m just a producer on this show, so I don’t have to deal with him day-to-day, but, still, it’s a lot.”
David then enters the teaser, referring to Obama as “44” and jokingly asking if he could list him as an emergency contact.

“Well, because if they see your name, they’ll be more inclined to help,” David said.
Fox News Digital reached out to a representative for the Obamas for comment.
Per Deadline, the logline for series reads, “President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion…But then Larry David called.”

The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star previously previewed the series at South by Southwest last March. The series will feature seven episodes with four historically based comedy sketches every episode. One preview featured David playing a sailor moments after the famous V-J Day Times Square kiss.
The series will feature actors such as Bill Hader, Kathryn Hahn, Jon Hamm and Sean Hayes as well as Obama himself.
“Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” will premiere on June 26 with new episodes airing weekly.

The HBO Max series teaser came less than one month after reports that Obama and his wife Michelle’s film production company, Higher Ground, would be leaving Netflix despite their longtime deal with the streaming giant. The former president hinted at the switch during the History Channel’s special edition of HistoryTalks.

“[W]e were in partnership with Netflix,” Obama said. “We’re in a process now of transitioning to a more independent [future] where we can work with a bunch of different studios.”
The reactions on social media were mixed. One reader on X responded to the news by saying, “Love Larry David, but found this to be cringe. Show could still be good though. The premise of the bit was just very very basic and didn’t have a punch line really.”
Another offered a more hopeful take, saying, “Can’t wait for this! Larry David actually campaigned for Barack Obama during the 2008 New Hampshire primary, so these two go way back!”

A former MLB pitcher’s divorce is getting ugly.
Carl Pavano and his ex-wife, Alissa, have been in quite the prenup battle, with Alissa accusing the former pitcher of signing the one-sided agreement she says she was “demanded” to sign.
According to documents, Alissa “had given up her residence, potential employment, and all financial independence” after Carl had shown “ongoing controlling behavior,” including name-calling, cutting off her expenses and threats to take their children.

To make matters worse, according to CT Insider, police have been called to their shared home in Connecticut nine times over the last two years, and most recently on April 29.
“A prenuptial agreement is an acceptable way for individuals, prior to marriage, to condition how their financial interests and responsibilities will be determined after marriage,” Alissa’s lawyers said in a brief, via the New York Post.
“It should not be an acceptable way for a monied spouse who has already started a family with his significant other to force her to give up her financial independence, and then to extract financial advantages in the premarital agreement under the threat of taking the minor children away from her and leaving her destitute.”

The signing of the prenup was videotaped, documents say, after Alissa had a $500 consultation with her attorney.
State Superior Court Judge Thomas O’Neill ruled the prenup valid, awarding Alissa $300,000 and ordering Carl to buy her a home worth $1 million. Carl had a net worth of over $43 million by the time the trial began, the document says.
The prenup was signed shortly after they were married in 2011, but the divorce began in 2024. The aforementioned ruling came last year.

Pavano pitched for the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins, being named an All-Star in 2004. He pitched to a 4.81 ERA in his career, with his biggest payday coming from the Yankees. However, he only made 26 starts in his four seasons with them and is widely considered one of their worst signings.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after five people were struck by a car in a town centre in Nottinghamshire, police have said.
One man suffered life-threatening injuries and remains critically ill in hospital while four other men sustained less serious injuries after the incident in Arnold shortly before 1.10am on Saturday.
Nottinghamshire police said it was believed the car, a red Vauxhall Astra, was driven at the group after an altercation in the town centre a short time earlier.
A 40-year-old man was detained and remains in custody, the force added.
Police said the driver abandoned the car and fled the scene on foot, adding counter-terrorism officers were not involved in the investigation and there was “no indication of any ongoing threat to the wider public”.
DCI Ruby Burrow, who is leading the investigation, said: “We have shared this important update with the family of the seriously injured man and they are being supported by specialist officers.
“We would ask that people do not speculate about the circumstances around the incident and respect the privacy of those involved.
“Our investigation remains ongoing and we are keeping an open mind while these extensive inquiries continue.”
Anyone who witnessed what happened, has dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage or has any information relating to the incident has been urged to contact police or charity Crimestoppers.
With the change of power in the politics of West Bengal, the battle of symbols and dates has also intensified. He said on Saturday that his government will give official approval for the celebration of ‘West Bengal Day’ on the date of June 20. Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt unloaded on CBS News in an X post Friday, accusing the network of depicting him in a negative light following a recent interview.
“After CBS embarrassed Karen Bass by fact-checking her debate lies about the Palisades Fire, they clearly got the call. CBS filmed with me on my burned out lot for over an hour, and they turned it over to Karen Bass’ PR team to edit it into a comical 5 minute hit piece with clips from ‘The Hills,'” Pratt wrote.
“They can’t beat my ideas, they can’t beat me in the debates, so they gotta try to turn my campaign into a sideshow.”
He continued, “People are done with these skeezy political tricks, and I’m done with CBS. They’ll never get a word from me for my next 8 years as mayor. Adios! What outlet should I have in their absence?”

Fox News Digital sought additional context and comments from Pratt, CBS News and Mayor Bass’ team regarding Pratt’s X post, but it remains unclear which edited video Pratt was referencing.
An individual familiar with the story said that the full video will be posted on Saturday and that no outside parties were involved in editing it.
In one video aired on “CBS Mornings,” correspondent Adam Yamaguchi stood on a charred hillside in the Pacific Palisades where Pratt’s home stood prior to the L.A. wildfires.
He interviewed the former “The Hills” star in the video, which ran a little over four minutes long and featured handful of clips from the MTV series.
Yamaguchi made frequent callbacks to Pratt’s role on the show and his current mayoral campaign.
“Why should voters believe that you, who don’t have any experience in [the political] realm, can actually be the solution?” Yamaguchi asked in the clip.

Pratt replied, “I may not have the experience, but I have the common sense to say, ‘This is not working.'”
The video then shifted to one of Pratt’s political ads, which showed him standing outside a trailer where his home once stood, stressing the need for a leadership change in the aftermath of the devastating 2025 wildfires.
Further in the video, Politico California Bureau Chief Melanie Mason said it would be “a hard road to convince” a blue city like Los Angeles to vote for a candidate like Pratt, who is running as an independent, identifying him as “not only a novice politician, but somebody who has pretty much aligned himself” with Trump and Republicans.

Another interview excerpt followed, with Yamaguchi arguing, “It seems the odds are stacked against you.”
Pratt responded by pointing out his support among Democrats and his goal to fix larger systemic issues plaguing the city.

Another clip from CBS Los Angeles ran a little under three minutes long and featured similar content.
Pratt was also interviewed on the hillside in front of the trailer where his home once stood and stressed the need for leadership change.
The video also contained references to “The Hills,” including several clips from the early 2000s series.
Neither Pratt’s nor Mayor Bass’ teams responded to Fox News Digital in time for publication.
Sean Duffy, the US transportation secretary, hauled his family into a van for a wholesome, seven-month trek across the nation, which was filmed for an upcoming reality TV program, he told Fox News on Friday.
The revelation drew immediate blowback as “tone-deaf”, from critics who pointed toward various crises that have recently hammered the country’s transportation sector.
Between February and April, a partial government shutdown – stemming from a protracted debate about funding for the Department of Homeland Security – led TSA agents to quit in droves over the lack of pay. Some airport travelers faced long wait times due to the ensuing staffing shortages.
Then, in April, at New York City’s LaGuardia airport, an Air Canada jet collided with a fire truck, resulting in the death of two pilots. The circumstances around the incident remain under federal investigation.
Meanwhile, dominating headlines as of late has been the spike in gas and jet fuel prices, while the US-Israel war with Iran continues to disrupt the oil industry. That rise in cost contributed, among other factors, to the collapse of low-budget carrier Spirit Airlines.
“I wanted to lean into America’s 250th birthday,” Duffy said on Fox News, after a preview of The Great American Road Trip played.
“Over the course of seven months, we just kind of found these moments where I might do some work. I could take the kids with me … Our motto was ‘to love America is to see America.’”
He exhorted the public to embark on similar road trips, suggesting it as an alternative for kids accustomed to scrolling through social media.
The husband of Pete Buttigieg, the US transportation secretary under Joe Biden, took Duffy to task on social media over the segment.
“The same Duffys who threw endless fits on national television when Pete was working from our son’s ICU bedside are now bragging about their multi-month, taxpayer-funded family road trip while gas and grocery prices soar for American families because of Trump’s war of choice,” Chasten Buttigieg wrote in an X post.
“How much more unfocused, unserious, and out of touch can you be?”
Rachel Campos-Duffy, Duffy’s wife, issued a social media rebuttal, saying that production costs were paid for by a non-profit, The Great American Road Trip Inc. “It was filmed in small one and two day stops over the course of seven months,” she also wrote.
The trip has also drawn ethics concerns over its sponsors, among which include Boeing. The aerospace company has been subject to several investigations concerning the safety of its aircrafts.

Jaime Pressly is the latest Hollywood star cashing in on OnlyFans.
The “My Name Is Earl” actress said emotional fan interactions at Comic-Con pushed her toward finding new ways to connect directly with audiences.
“I’ve always believed in evolving with the times,” Pressly said in a statement to Variety announcing her OnlyFans launch. “This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention.”
The actress officially launched her page on May 7.

Pressly revealed she originally viewed OnlyFans as a platform centered around adult content before a conversation with fellow actress Shannon Elizabeth shifted her thinking.
“I was like, ‘What, that’s porn?’” Pressly told Fox News Digital. “And she said, ‘No, they’re rebranding.’”
The sitcom star said Elizabeth explained that OnlyFans was initially designed to help celebrities and creators interact directly with fans before becoming heavily associated with explicit content.
“It’s actually not,” Pressly said. “There are so many great people on it, and they’re rebranding it now.”
The actress said she began attending fan conventions around the 20th anniversary of “My Name Is Earl” and quickly realized how personal fan interactions had become.

One interaction, however, left a lasting mark.
“There was a husband and wife that showed up,” Pressly recalled to Fox News Digital. “They said their son was a huge fan of mine.”

Elizabeth recently revealed she joined OnlyFans to take control of her image and career after decades in Hollywood. Reports claimed the “American Pie” actress earned more than seven figures during her first week on the platform.
“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” Elizabeth previously told People. “This new chapter is about changing that.”

Creators Inc. CEO Andy Bachman said Pressly’s fan loyalty makes her a natural fit for the platform.
“Jaime Pressly has the rare mix of mainstream star power and a real audience connection that modern platforms reward,” Bachman said, according to Variety. “Fans are going to love what she creates here.”
