New Delhi: The clouds of crisis regarding the India-Pakistan match to be held on February 15 are not showing any signs of clearing. According to the latest news, ICC has completely rejected all the demands of Pakistan which it had made to play with India. Not only this, ICC has also given one day’s time to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to talk to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and think about the decision.

If sources are to be believed, an official announcement is expected to be made on Tuesday morning. Let us tell you those demands which have been completely rejected by the ICC.

1. Bangladesh should not be fined: PCB’s demand was that Bangladesh should get their full share in ICC revenue. On this, ICC has already made it clear that they have decided not to impose any penalty on Bangladesh.

2. Bilaterals: Pakistan Cricket Board demanded that India be asked to play bilateral series with Pakistan. The ICC rejected it and said it was not within their jurisdiction, even in the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

3. India-Pak-Bangladesh Tri-series: Pakistan Cricket Board proposed to organize a tri-series between the three countries. The ICC also rejected this and said that it is the job of the boards to decide bilateral or triangular series, not the ICC.

4. Indian team tour of Bangladesh: Pakistan Cricket Board demanded that India should tour Bangladesh for the series this year. The ICC also raised its hands on this and called it beyond its jurisdiction.

Will India go to Colombo?
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet issued any official statement, but according to reliable sources, the board is waiting for formal information from the ICC on this matter. According to top sources, the Indian team will strictly follow the ICC protocol. The team is expected to reach Sri Lanka on time as scheduled and complete routine pre-match preparations, including training sessions and mandatory press conferences. The Indian team will reach R Premadasa Stadium at the scheduled time on the match day and wait for the match referee’s decision whether the match should be canceled or not if Pakistan does not take the field.

What about the loss if Pakistan withdraws?
According to PTI, the India-Pakistan match remains the highest-grossing match in global cricket, generating a revenue of around Rs 2,200 crore. To take advantage of this popularity, the ICC has placed both the teams in the same group in every major tournament since 2012, while due to deteriorating diplomatic relations, bilateral cricket has not been possible for the last 14 years. If Pakistan remains firm on its stand, it will suffer a loss of revenue worth millions of rupees and if Pakistan does not participate in the tournament, the ICC coffers will suffer a huge loss. The host broadcaster may lose advertising revenue of Rs 200 crore to Rs 250 crore for an important match, for which a 10-second ad slot can cost up to Rs 40 lakh.

A nursery worker in Bristol has been found guilty of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault against five toddlers – in a case described as “every parent’s nightmare”.

Nathan Bennett, 30, was found guilty at Bristol Crown Court of two charges of raping a child under 13, four of the sexual assault of a child under 13, and two charges of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.

Bennett, from Corston, near Bath, began working at the Partou King Street nursery in Bristol in July 2024.

Concerns were raised in February 2025 when nursery manager Victoria Tutton viewed CCTV footage showing Bennett putting his hands down the trousers of a child.

Bennett was immediately sent home.

Avon and Somerset Police began an investigation which led to Bennett’s arrest and the closure of the nursery in the centre of the city.

During four days of evidence, a jury heard how staff had noted that Bennett would sit children on his lap for lengthy periods of time, wear a pair of trousers with holes in the crotch area and seemed “territorial” over certain toddlers and their parents.

One nursery practitioner described how Bennett had a “jealous attachment” with five children and would “take control of them”.

During the trial, video interviews of two children in the case – referred to as Child A and Child E – were played to the jury.

Child E’s mother also gave evidence, telling the jury her son had demonstrated how he’d been abused at the nursery.

“I got him to stop doing it. I asked him when did that happen. He said it happened at nursery,” she said.

The child had identified the abuse was carried out by a man with the watch – the mother told the court they “immediately” knew who he was talking about as Bennett wore a smart watch which Child E “really liked”.

Bennett had previously pleaded guilty to 13 other charges relating to four of the five victims, who were aged two at the time, including charges of sexual assault.

Giving evidence during the trial, Bennett said he was exposed to “a lot of sexual activity on myself” when he was a child.

While he accepted that the contact between him and the toddlers was sexual, he denied having a sexual attraction to them.

“As I stated I think already, it was emulating what I had experienced as a child – presuming it was to make them happy and feel better,” said Bennett.

Prosecutor Virginia Cornwall described the case as “every parent’s nightmare”.

“He has admitted his sexual interest, that the Crown says, he has in pre-school-age boys, toddlers, essentially two and three years of age, by his partial guilty pleas to some of the charges in this case,” she said.

The defendant previously pleaded guilty to 13 other charges, including eight charges of sexual assault of a child under 13, four charges of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and one charge of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie unloaded on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani Friday for doing a poor job of cleaning up snow and garbage in the city after a massive snowstorm.

During an appearance on “Overtime,” the online portion of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Christie was asked by Maher to grade Mamdani’s handling of his first major snowstorm as a city leader last month.

“Yeah, I’d give him a C, because he seemed to move a bunch of the snow but couldn’t figure out how to do anything else when that was going on,” Christie said. “He didn’t pick up the garbage. All my kids live in New York City. I’ve been there since the snowstorm. The garbage is piled up everywhere. But you know the one place that is pristine where the garbage is gone and the snow—there’s no ice even on the sidewalk? In front of Gracie Mansion.”

Maher expressed disbelief despite the audience’s cheers, but Christie insisted it was “absolutely true.”

“It’s like, ‘socialist, schmocialist, take care of my thing first,'” Christie said.

“Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss,” Maher replied.

Mamdani has been criticized for his handling of street cleanup after a massive snowstorm hit the city during the weekend of Jan. 25. Several people reported snow pileups more than a week after the storm alongside mounds of trash bags.

Instead, what we are all experiencing is a cold that is continuing at a record pace, frankly,” he told reporters. “And what that has meant is that the entirety of the city’s response is up to the city workers themselves. And they have been doing an incredible job. However, it is a job that must continue, and it is also a job that has required us to go beyond the typical.”

A father has been jailed for more than four years after he used social media to try and recruit a “battalion” of followers to kill non-whites when he became radicalised after his wife left him.

Tygue Crowther, 36, from Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire used his account on Twitter, now X, to encourage attacks between October 2023 and June 2024 before it was shut down.

He also shared far-right bomb-making manuals on the Telegram social media site and circulated pictures of neo-Nazi stickers in a playground in his local area.

John Greaney, prosecuting, told Newcastle Crown Court many of the posts “voiced or implied support for the eradication of immigrants and non-whites”.

He added: “The posts also included video material showing graphic clips of attacks on non-whites and glorifying violence against non-whites at the hands of neo-Nazi thugs.”

His posts gathered “significant engagement”, including expressions of support from followers.

Crowther was also “actively seeking” to establish and develop a group he called the ‘United Whites Battalion’ (UWB), which he referred to in his X profile and his posts on X.

His posts were available to a wide audience at a time when “tensions over immigration and race relations were acute, as evidenced by responses from like-minded devotees of the extreme far-right doctrine,” Mr Greaney said.

The profile page of the account stated he was a “British, National Socialist, Accelerationist” and added: “No to immigration or multiculturalism. British people need to take action against the vermin entering our country.”

National Socialism was the ideology of the Nazi Party, and far-right accelerationism is a doctrine which seeks to encourage a race war by conducting terrorist attacks.

The main image was of a soldier wearing a skull facemask associated with the far-right while performing a Nazi salute against a backdrop of a rising sun, also linked to the far-right.

The profile picture had an octopus with a swastika image.

The octopus has become an antisemitic meme representing Jewish people controlling the world.

The title had a Union flag and stated: “Join UWB today”.

There was also a reference to the numbers 1488 in the biography, a code for a white supremacist slogan, and the words Heil Hitler.

Crowther claimed to a probation officer that he had been “preyed on by people on the far-right” after becoming “lonely, isolated and bored” when his wife left him in June 2019.

Judge Nathan Adams said he had “encouraged violence endangering life” by posting graphic videos glorifying violence on non-whites and supporting neo-Nazis.

“He put into the public domain offensive videos, and the duration was extensive and without filter,” he added.

“He was undoubtedly depressed and suicidal, but there is no clear link between that and his offending, and he appears to have been in a depressed state many years before.”

Detective Chief Superintendent James Dunkerley, head of Counter-Terrorism Policing North East, said: “Those that seek to divide our communities through sharing extremist material will be identified and brought to justice.”

The War Department announced on Monday morning that the U.S. military boarded a vessel overnight “without incident.”

The department’s post on X noted that the U.S. had “hunted” the ship “from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean.”

bangladesh At least 26 people were injured in a clash between Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami workers on Monday (February 9, 2026) in Baufal Upazila of Patuakhali district. Three women are also among the injured.

According to the report of ‘The Daily Star’, local people and eyewitnesses told about the incident that on Monday (February 9) at around 12.30 pm, Jamaat women workers were campaigning in support of party candidate Shafiqul Islam Masood from Patuakhali-2 seat in Bhandaria market. Meanwhile, some BNP workers stopped her and accused her of distributing money to buy votes.

As soon as information about this incident was received, other male workers of Jamaat also reached the spot, after which an argument started between the two parties and within no time the incident turned into a violent clash.

The seriously injured were sent for better treatment.

26 people injured in this violent clash were admitted to Baufal Upazila Health Complex. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Abdur Rauf said that the injured included three women and a seriously injured man had been sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barishal for better treatment.

Jamaat workers took out a procession

against this incident Jamaat Activists took out a procession at the upazila headquarters at around 3:30 pm. When the procession reached near the Health Complex, there was once again a situation of chaos and tension between BNP and Jamaat workers. After this, Jamaat workers blocked the Barishal-Baufal road and started demanding the transfer of the police station in-charge (OC). The protesters accused the station in-charge of making recommendations in favor of BNP. Due to which there was road jam for about two hours.

Jamaat made allegations, police station incharge and BNP denied

Jamaat’s upazila secretary Mohammad Khalidur Rahman alleged that BNP workers attacked Jamaat people several times and the police station in-charge kept playing a role in favor of BNP. He claimed that 30 of his workers were injured in this incident. However, police station in-charge Siddiqur Rahman rejected the allegations made by the Jamaat outright. He said that they are fulfilling their responsibilities with complete impartiality and law and order is under control in the entire area.

At the same time, BNP’s upazila coordinator Tasleem Talukdar also denied the allegations of Jamaat. He said that it was the Jamaat workers who attacked his people and now they are making false allegations against him. He also claimed that 20 of his workers were injured in this violent clash.
