A Chicago man accused of gunning down two Israeli Embassy staffers outside a Jewish museum in Washington, D.C., is now facing sweeping terrorism charges, with prosecutors saying the deadly ambush was a calculated, ideologically-driven attack meant to terrorize the Jewish community.

Elias Rodriguez, 31, was charged in a 13-count superseding indictment unsealed Wednesday in U.S. District Court with multiple terrorism-related offenses in the May 21 fatal shootings of two Israeli Embassy staff members outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C.

Rodriguez was previously charged with the murder of a foreign official, causing death through the use of a firearm and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence along with two federal counts of hate crime resulting in death and two counts each of first-degree premeditated murder while armed and assault with intent to kill while armed.

The superseding indictment adds four counts of acts of terrorism while armed, two counts each of first-degree murder and assault with intent to kill.

Court documents allege Rodriguez approached Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Milgrim, 26, as they left a Young Diplomats Reception at the museum, fired roughly 20 shots from a semi-automatic handgun and called out “Free Palestine.”

After the shooting, authorities claim, Rodriguez entered the occupied museum, pulled out a red keffiyeh and said, “I did it for Palestine. I did it for Gaza.”

As police removed Rodriguez from the museum, he allegedly shouted, “Shame on you” and “Shame on Zio-nazi terror” at the remaining event attendees.

Lischinsky and Milgrim died in the attack, and two wounded embassy workers survived.

Darren Cox, FBI assistant director in charge of the Washington Field Office, said, in addition to the shooting, Rodriguez allegedly wrote and published a manifesto “attempting to morally justify his actions and inspire others to commit political violence.”

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro added her office will not rest until Rodriguez is held accountable for the “horrific and targeted act of terror.”

Lischinsky was an Israeli citizen and employee of the Government of Israel who was in the U.S. on official business while working for the Israeli Embassy.

Milgrim, Overland Park, Kansas, was also employed by the Israeli Embassy. 

Several of the charges filed against Rodriguez carry a maximum penalty of death and a mandatory life sentence.

Datacenter servers will face a double whammy this year as CPU supply constraints pile on top of an already severe memory shortage. Even so, shipments are still expected to grow at a double-digit rate.

The latest Cloud and Datacenter Market Snapshot [PDF] from analyst firm Omdia says that server CPUs are also experiencing supply constraints that are likely to see prices rise, with a knock-on effect on overall system costs.

Omdia claims this is at least partly due to the difficulty of shifting production volume across different process nodes. As CPU roadmaps have broadened, vendors are simultaneously manufacturing processors on different process nodes such as 3 nm or 5 nm.

“The nature of processor design and fabrication is such that shifting volume across process nodes is complex and time consuming,” the firm says, adding that lower-than-expected yields may have also contributed to the shortage.

The upshot is that Omdia believes server CPU prices could increase by 11 to 15 percent as a consequence of the shortfall in supply. And this is a conservative estimate, based on the fact that the biggest customers – the hyperscale cloud operators – will typically have fixed their prices beforehand through long-term agreements with vendors.

Any CPU issues will add to an already challenging IT supply chain situation driven largely by the memory shortage. The cost of DRAM is expected to nearly double this quarter, as The Register reported just days ago, while NAND flash used in solid-state storage is also forecast to rise by more than 30 percent.

DRAM is in particularly short supply because of high demand and because the memory chipmakers have repurposed manufacturing capacity to focus on making more of the high-margin products such as high-bandwidth memory (HBM) used in GPU accelerators for AI processing.

Omdia says that it is concerned that memory availability could disrupt server manufacturing output, which might in turn affect the completion dates for ongoing datacenter projects.

Despite this, the analyst firm still foresees a 12 percent growth in server shipments this year, thanks to a refresh cycle covering general-purpose servers that is also boosting shipments. It regards memory availability as much more of a risk than CPU availability.

Meanwhile, when it comes to racks packed with AI servers and GPUs, Omdia estimates that at least 71,000 racks will ship this year with more than 100 kW of IT load, largely driven by Nvidia’s NVL72 integrated system.

Thanks to the seemingly insatiable demand for AI infrastructure, Omdia forecasts that this will increase by 56 percent next year, and we will see the first ultra-dense racks with upwards of 200 kW of equipment.

But it isn’t likely to end there. Last year, Google detailed plans for future 1 MW IT racks at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Summit in Dublin. ®

Tehran, Iran – Iranian authorities have launched an online portal for people to report the names of loved ones missing from a government list of thousands killed during recent nationwide protests, as calls for accountability grow.

Authorities say 3,117 people were killed during the anti-establishment protests that began in late December, rejecting statements by the United Nations and international human rights organisations that state forces were behind the killings, which were mostly carried out on January 8 and 9.

The United States-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) says it has verified 6,872 deaths and is investigating more than 11,000 other cases. A UN special rapporteur has said the death toll may be higher than 20,000 as information trickles out despite heavy internet filtering by the state.

On Sunday, the government of President Masoud Pezeshkian released the names of 2,986 Iranians confirmed to have been killed during the protests. It said the remaining 131 have not been identified, so a complementary list will be forthcoming at an undisclosed time.

The list includes the full names of those killed, the first name of their father, and the last six digits of their 10-digit national identification number. It does not elaborate where, when, how or by whom they were killed, and avoids any further classification, such as distinguishing between protesters and heavily armed state forces.

Since the release of the list, many Iranians have taken to social media to report the omission of names of people confirmed by their families and friends to have been killed during the protests. The register also contained a number of repetitive entries, with matching names and national identification codes.

Late on Tuesday, the government announced a website where people could report the names of loved ones missing from the list. But it was unclear when any potential update would be forthcoming to add names and clarify errors and ambiguities.

People were also urged to report any violations, including being demanded money by authorities to receive the bodies of their loved ones, and any refusal to provide lifesaving medical care to wounded protesters.

The government has consistently rejected all reports of misconduct by state forces, including raids on hospitals and the arrests of medical personnel for assisting protesters.

It has also announced an internal fact-finding mission – as it rejects a UN mandate on the issue – but has provided no details, including who the members are or when findings may be published.

In an apparent attempt to appease families of the victims and the grieving public, a government statement on Sunday said “all of the victims of the recent incidents and unrest were the children of this land and no bereaved person must be abandoned in silence and helplessness”.

However, the messaging was in stark contrast with daily comments from the political, military and judicial authorities, including Pezeshkian, stressing that “terrorists” were behind the “riots”, which they claim were armed and funded by the United States and Israel.

Moreover, in late January, Iran’s Martyrs Foundation said 2,427 of those killed were “innocent”, including civilians and security forces. The figure suggested that the remaining 690 killed may have been classified as the “terrorists” referenced by state officials, but there has been no further clarity on that.

The government’s list of names was also published in full and in small text on the front pages of two newspapers, with the Payam-e Ma morning daily using the headline, “the deceased”, for the victims.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani held a news conference on Tuesday, where she was met with a rebuke from a journalist, clips of which are being widely shared online.

Parisa Hashemi, a journalist with Ham-Mihan newspaper – which is currently under legal prosecution for reporting on the protests – reminded the spokesperson that Iran is suffering from corruption, poverty, energy and water crises, chronic air pollution and much more.

“Now we hear that the ‘enemy’ sabotaged protests in our country, created rivers of blood, and committed a mass killing. There is no doubt that those who fired at our youth, children, women and men are enemies of this land,” she said, pointing out that not a single official has resigned in the aftermath.

“If this had happened in any other country, its officials would either die from the shame or kill themselves out of honour,” Hashemi said.

In response, Mohajerani smiled and said the journalist was posing a statement rather than a question and repeated a line about “hope” being crucial for any society.

The official IRNA news agency did not include the three-minute part of the journalist’s comments when releasing the recorded footage of the news conference on its website.

Meanwhile, renowned actress Elnaz Shakerdoost on Monday announced in a handwritten statement appearing to be stained in blood that she is quitting Iranian cinema due to the protest killings.

“I will never again play any role in this soil that smells of blood. This is my main role,” she wrote, also saying she is boycotting the Fajr International Film Festival.

The state-run festival opened this week amid boycotts from artists and the public, but some of the directors and actors who took part lashed out at those who were absent.

Film director and screenwriter Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian received a backlash online after calling boycotters “cowards” and saying he is happy not to have hired “a bunch of scared stars” for his state-funded film featuring at the festival.

US TV host Savannah Guthrie has pleaded for the return of her mother and said the family is “ready to talk” to her captor – but asked them to provide proof she is alive.

In an emotional video message posted on social media, the NBC anchor, flanked by her siblings, said: “We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated.

“We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please reach out to us.”

Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home near Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday evening. The 84-year-old was reported missing the following day after she failed to appear at church.

Investigators said they had found signs of forced entry at her home and believe she was taken against her will.

Several media organisations reported receiving apparent ransom notes earlier this week that they handed over to police. Authorities are yet to confirm if these are legitimate.

No suspect or person of interest has been identified, according to Pima County sheriff Chris Nanos.

Mr Nanos previously said the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who has limited mobility and requires daily medication, was not “dementia related”.

“She’s as sharp as a tack,” he said. “The family wants everyone to know that this isn’t someone who just wandered off.”

In the video clip, a tearful Savannah Guthrie, joined by her sister Annie and brother Cameron, said: “Our mum is our heart and our home. She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart, is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive, she needs it not to suffer.

“Mummy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter.”

Trump sends message of support

Shortly after the video was posted, Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social: “I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY.

“We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!”

Shares of Trent fell nearly 4 per cent in early trade after the Tata Group retailer reported its December-quarter numbers, prompting mixed reactions from brokerages that praised the margin performance but remained cautious on the outlook for growth.

At 10.21 am, it traded flat at ₹4,031.70 after falling to a low of ₹3,863 on the NSE against the previous close of ₹4,012.60.

The company posted a 41 per cent rise in standalone profit after tax to ₹660 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2025, helped by operating efficiencies and higher profitability even as revenue momentum moderated.

Bernstein maintained an outperform rating with a target price of ₹5,000, saying the quarter delivered strong margins while a growth revival was still “loading”. The brokerage noted that challenges on the growth front were already flagged in Trent’s business update and added that network expansion remained steady. It said the margin improvement trajectory appeared to have stabilized and was sustainable, though employee-cost leverage had largely played out and would now depend on a recovery in same-store sales growth.

Goldman Sachs, which has a neutral rating and a target price of ₹4,530, said the EBIT beat was driven by higher gross margins but cautioned that most operating-cost benefits were likely behind the company. It flagged pressure on fourth-quarter profitability and added that negative like-for-like growth in the third quarter could weigh on Trent’s growth and margin assumptions for FY27 and FY28.

UBS struck a more optimistic note, retaining its buy call and raising expectations of longer-term growth with a target price of ₹5,300. The brokerage said the quarter surprised positively on earnings, with strong margin expansion offsetting a weaker topline and negative same-store sales growth. UBS added that Trent continued to pursue its core growth strategy and estimated around 22 per cent revenue growth for FY27, with potential upside if demand conditions improve alongside ongoing operational improvements.

Jefferies kept a hold rating and cut a cautious tone despite acknowledging an earnings surprise driven by margins. With a target price of ₹4,575, the brokerage said third-quarter revenue growth was at a multi-quarter low, something it had anticipated from the company’s pre-quarter release. It added that negative fashion like-for-like growth was partly due to a shift in the festive calendar, a pattern seen across other retailers as well. While management continued to focus on expanding in both existing and new markets and improving disclosure standards, Jefferies said it preferred to stay on the sidelines until there was clearer evidence of a sustained recovery.

Nuvama maintained a hold rating and a target price of ₹4,543, highlighting year-on-year growth of 16 per cent in revenue, 28 per cent in EBITDA and 19 per cent in adjusted profit after tax. It said operating deleverage from negative like-for-likes was offset by better gross margins, possibly due to a favorable product mix and lower employee costs. However, management indicated that most automation benefits had already been realized, suggesting productivity-led margin gains could be harder to come by going forward, while rent growth remained broadly in line with revenue.

Citi remained the most bearish among major brokerages, reiterating a sell rating and a target price of ₹4,350. The firm said revenue growth was broadly in line with its estimates, but EBITDA and adjusted profit after tax growth of 27 per cent and 40 per cent year-on-year were well ahead of expectations, raising questions about the quality of the beat. Citi pointed out that the EBITDA outperformance was led by a sharp expansion in gross margins, which it viewed as difficult to sustain because of a changing business mix, while the PAT boost was amplified by a surge in other income. It also warned that employee and rent costs had not fallen meaningfully in recent quarters despite rapid store area expansion, posing a risk to future margins.

SAN FRANCISCO – Ever since their Super Bowl victories in the 1990s, the Dallas Cowboys have been the practical definition of mediocre.

The team has yet to make it to an NFC championship game since it won the 1996 Super Bowl three decades ago, but the top receiver from that team, Michael Irvin, sees the vision.

Irvin told Fox News Digital on radio row in San Francisco he recently had dinner with soon-to-be second-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer, and he “love[s] the direction Coach is going in.”

“I love what he’s done with the offense, ’cause we found the offense. Now, we just got to solidify and make sure it gets more consistent. And being able to put up 30, 35 points a game,” Irvin said of the star-studded group that includes Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Javonte Williams.

The defense was the clear weakness throughout this season, but Irvin doesn’t want anyone sleeping on them.

“Now, with Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark up the middle, dude, we got a force coming up the middle of the field. We gotta solidify that defense,” Irvin said.

“They will be here. I want you to find me.”

Cowboys fans daring enough to ride along with Irvin can do it on Hard Rock Bet, which has had a long-standing relationship with the Hall of Famer.

”It’s home, it’s Florida. I’m from Florida. You look back. I’ve had such a great friendship and alignment with them for so long. I did my Hall of Fame party at the Hard Rock, and, of course, Miami plays at the Hard Rock, so I’m always there with them. There’s a natural partnership,” Irvin said.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned of a humanitarian “collapse” in Cuba if its energy needs go unmet after the United States moved to block all oil from reaching the Caribbean island and threatened tariffs on any nations that step in to help.

The warning on Wednesday came amid a severe fuel shortage in Cuba that has prompted hours of blackouts, even in the capital Havana, as well as a surge in prices for food and transportation.

Stephane Dujarric, a spokesman for Guterres, told reporters in New York that the UN chief was “extremely concerned about the humanitarian situation in Cuba”, which he said will “worsen if not collapse, if its oil needs go unmet”.

Dujarric also noted that for more than three decades, the UN General Assembly, too, has consistently called for an end to the trade embargo imposed by the US on Cuba.

“The secretary-general urges all parties to pursue dialogue and respect for international law,” he added.

The US and Cuba have been foes since the Cuban revolution of 1959, when Fidel Castro took power, and his socialist government nationalised US-owned businesses. Washington responded with economic sanctions that were tightened into a full embargo in 1962.

The Caribbean island has long been in the grip of an economic crisis and had relied on Venezuela for its oil until US forces abducted Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a raid on his residence in Caracas last month.

US President Donald Trump subsequently claimed control of Venezuelan oil and promised to starve Cuba of the commodity. He has labelled Cuba “an unusual and extraordinary threat” to the US, and said he wants to “make a deal” with Cuba’s leadership, without saying what an agreement might look like.

Trump has also threatened tariffs on any other nation stepping in to help, prompting worry in Mexico, which is currently the island’s main supplier of oil.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Tuesday that her country was using all diplomatic avenues to ensure crude shipments to Cuba. She, too, warned of a humanitarian crisis in Cuba but said she did not want to put her own country “at risk in terms of tariffs”.

“We’re looking at the scope” of Trump’s threatened tariffs, “and we’re using all diplomatic channels”, she told reporters.

Sheinbaum added that Mexico would send humanitarian aid to Cuba this week and was seeking an agreement with Washington that would allow it to also send oil. “There is still no agreement on this,” she said.

Cuba’s President Miguel Diaz-Canel slammed Trump’s tariff threat last week, saying the US leader was planning “to suffocate” Cuba’s economy under a “false and baseless pretext”. The country also declared an “international emergency” saying Trump’s move constitutes “an unusual and extraordinary threat”.

According to The Financial Times, Mexico supplied some 44 percent of Cuba’s oil imports, and Venezuela supplied 33 percent until last month. About 10 percent is also sourced from Russia and a smaller amount from Algeria, it said.

The British newspaper also cited the Kpler data company as reporting on January 30 that Cuba only has enough oil to last 15 to 20 days at current levels of demand.

The US embassy in Cuba, meanwhile, warned Americans in the country on Tuesday to prepare for “significant disruption” from power outages ⁠and fuel shortages.

Cuba’s Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio told ‍the Reuters news agency on Monday that Cuba and the US are in communication, although he noted the exchanges have not evolved into formal “dialogue”.

Ellen DeGeneres is “California Dreamin'” more than one year after ditching the states for a farm in the English countryside.

While the former talk show host recently purchased a $27 million mansion in her beloved Montecito community with wife Portia de Rossi, they likely won’t be staying for long.

A source told Fox News Digital the couple wanted to spend the winter in Montecito and that their move back to Southern California is “temporary.”

“Ellen and Portia love the Cotswolds and can’t wait to return to England,” the insider said.

The couple has been “missing the California weather and horse scene” since their relocation across the pond, a source told People magazine, adding, “Portia loves polo and her horses.”

Cotswold locals told the publication they hadn’t seen DeGeneres “in ages.” Another source said the comedian was once frequently spotted around town over the summer but hasn’t been seen since. 

“She always looked friendly, but nobody ever approached her. And it was just another celeb to them,” the insider added.

DeGeneres, 68, and the “Arrested Development” actress sold their previous Montecito estate in August 2024 and bought a farmhouse in the U.K.

The move was initially slated as a part-time adventure where the couple could enjoy a few months of the year across the pond, but the comedian made things more permanent after Trump won the November 2024 election.

“We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in’,” she told broadcaster Richard Bacon during her first U.K. appearance since moving, per the BBC. “And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here.'”

She’s remained relatively private about her new life in the English countryside but keeps fans updated about farm living on social media.

“It’s absolutely beautiful,” she said. “We’re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture — everything you see is charming, and it’s just a simpler way of life. It’s clean. Everything here is just better — the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.”

The former talk show host added, “We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens. And we had sheep for about two weeks.”
