USA-Canada women’s hockey gold final set at Milan Cortina Olympics

The stage is officially set in the 2026 Milan Cortina Games — the United States against Canada for women’s hockey gold on Thursday night.

Since women’s hockey joined the Olympic schedule in 1998, only the U.S. or Canada have ever won gold. And six of the seven gold-medal games in Olympic history have been between these two countries.

Both teams understand that better than anyone, but it’s been Canada winning four of those six matchups, including the most recent Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022.

This time around, though, it’s Team USA that is the heavy favorite to take home gold when the puck drops at 1:10 p.m. ET in Milan.

While it was a 3-2 win in 2022 for Team Canada, the U.S. dominated them, 5-0, to finish their preliminary round games on Feb. 10.

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at how each team got to the Olympic final, and more importantly, what to expect between these bitter rivals.

OVERWHELMING OPPONENTS

Since touching down in Milan and hitting the ice together, it’s been an onslaught of offense for Team USA, and virtually nothing from their opponents.

The U.S. has outscored their opponents 31-1 entering Thursday game, tallying at least five goals in every game thus far.

Since that last game against Canada, Team USA defeated Italy, 6-0, in the quarterfinal. Then, it was another dominant performance against Sweden in the semifinal round on Monday, 5-0, at Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena.

And it hasn’t just been a few Americans who have contributed on the scoresheet, but 15 total players scoring goals. The puck is being spread around through players like Alex Carpenter, Coyne Schofield, Laila Edwards, Carolina Harvey and many more.

Momentum couldn’t be higher for this group entering the game they’ve been waiting for since 2022.

COOL CANADA

Despite the 5-0 loss to Team USA, this Canadian bunch has still been a clear favorite in most of their games, including a 4-0 final over Switzerland to start their Olympic journey.

Then, a 5-1 win over Czechia and 5-0 finish over Finland after the loss to the U.S. had them looking ahead to a Germany matchup in the quarterfinal.

It was a 5-1 finish for Team Canada, taking care of business before having a tougher time against Switzerland in the semifinal. But the game was a tight 2-1 win for Canada, as they made their way back to the gold-medal game with the chance to defend their 2022 title.

TEAM USA PLAYER TO WATCH: CAROLINE HARVEY

For those who haven’t watched the U.S. women’s hockey games thus far in the Olympics, Harvey will be a player who immediately stands out. And those who have been following usually can’t wait to see Harvey’s shifts considering the skill that has been on display in Milan.

Harvey, a strong skater with tremendous stick skills and vision as a defensewoman, has been getting praise from the men’s hockey team, including Matthew Tkachuk. Harvey is only 23 years old and still a senior at Wisconsin, making her the clear-cut favorite for the No. 1 pick in the PWHL Draft later this year.

Read More About The 2026 Winter Olympics

Harvey leads all players with nine total points in the tournament, including an Olympic-high seven assists. She has tallied two goals for a total of nine points. She also has a plus-minus of +14 to lead the tournament as well.

While there are tons of players to watch for the Stars and Stripes — be on the lookout for Edwards, Abbey Murphy and Tessa Janecke — Harvey has been pure fun to watch on the ice.

TEAM CANADA PLAYER TO WATCH: MARIE-PHILIP POULIN

Canada’s captain has shown grit and determination through injury in this tournament, battling a right knee injury that kept her out against the U.S. last week.

But she was needed in the tough matchup with Switzerland, burying both of the team’s goals in the net to lead the way to the gold-medal game.

While Canada’s roster has been debated since head coach Troy Ryan left some of the country’s solid young talent back home, it’s been veterans like Poulin who have set the tone even after defeat to the U.S.

There are 16 total players from the 2022 Beijing gold-medal roster that have returned in 2026 for Team Canada.

TIME TO FIGHT?

It’s no secret these two teams don’t like each other, but Team USA was not afraid to talk about the tension even months before the Games.

Multiple stars on the team told Fox News Digital they were prepared to drop gloves if need be against Team Canada if the situation arose.

“They don’t like us very much,” Harvey said in October 2025. “So, it’s more motivating than anything and, personally, it fuels the fire and makes us want to, you know, beat them more than ever.

“I don’t like them either. They’re a respectable competitor, they’re so good, and always give us such a hard game, it’s so back-and-forth. But when we get in the heat of the moment, we just always fight and don’t like them.”

Veteran Brianne Knight added: “I think the U.S.-Canada rivalry will always be there and no matter how many other countries are dueling in the final game that U.S.-Canada thing will always be special.”

These two sides have brawled in the past, including one of the most iconic fights in women’s hockey history in 2013 in a pre-Olympic exhibition game, where 10 fighting majors were dished out after every position player on the ice dropped gloves and fought.

A similar situation occurred in men’s hockey during the 4 Nations Face-off, where tensions between the two countries were certainly heightened last year when President Donald Trump imposed new tariffs on the country. But don’t sleep on tensions spilling over into very physical moments between these two teams on Thursday.

Fake IPTV Apps Spread Massiv Android Malware Targeting Mobile Banking Users

0

Ravie LakshmananFeb 19, 2026Banking Malware / Mobile Security

Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a new Android trojan called Massiv that’s designed to facilitate device takeover (DTO) attacks for financial theft.

The malware, according to ThreatFabric, masquerades as seemingly harmless IPTV apps to deceive victims, indicating that the activity is primarily singling out users looking for the online TV applications.

“This new threat, while only seen in a limited number of rather targeted campaigns, already poses a great risk to the users of mobile banking, allowing its operators to remotely control infected devices and perform device takeover attacks with further fraudulent transactions performed from the victim’s banking accounts,” the Dutch mobile security company said in a report shared with The Hacker News.

Like various Android banking malware families, Massiv supports a wide range of features to facilitate credential theft through a number of methods: screen streaming through Android’s MediaProjection API, keylogging, SMS interception, and fake overlays served atop banking and financial apps. The overlay asks users to enter their credentials and credit card details.

One such campaign has been found to target gov.pt, a Portuguese public administration app that allows users to store identification documents and manage the Digital Mobile Key (aka Chave Móvel Digital or CMD). The overlay tricks users into entering their phone number and PIN code, likely in an effort to bypass Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.

ThreatFabric said it identified cases where scammers used the information captured through these overlays to open new banking accounts in the victim’s name, allowing them to be used for money laundering or getting loans approved without the actual victim’s knowledge.

In addition, it serves as a fully functional remote-control tool, granting the operator the ability to access the victim’s device stealthily while showing a black screen overlay to conceal the malicious activity. These techniques, realized by abusing Android’s accessibility services, have also been observed in several other Android bankers like Crocodilus, Datzbro, and Klopatra.

“However, some applications implement protection against screen capture,” the company explained. “To bypass it, Massiv uses so-called UI-tree mode — it traverses AccessibilityWindowInfo roots and recursively processes AccessibilityNodeInfo objects.”

This is done so as to build a JSON representation of visible text and content descriptions, UI elements, screen coordinates, and interaction flags that indicate whether the UI element is clickable, editable, focused, or enabled. Only nodes that are visible and have text are exported to the attacker, who can then determine the next course of action by issuing specific commands to interact with the device.

The malware is equipped to carry out a wide range of malicious actions –

  • Enable black overlay, mute sounds and vibration
  • Send device information
  • Perform click and swipe actions
  • Alter clipboard with specific text
  • Disable black screen
  • Turn on/off screen streaming
  • Unlock device with pattern
  • Serve overlays for an app, device pattern lock, or PIN
  • Download ZIP archive with overlays for targeted applications
  • Download and install APK files
  • Open Battery Optimization, Device Admin, and Play Protect settings screens
  • Rquest for permissions to access SMS messages, install APK packages,
  • Clear log databases on the device

Massiv is distributed in the form of dropper apps mimicking IPTV apps via SMS phishing. Once installed and launched, the dropper prompts the victim to install an “important” update by granting it permissions to install software from external sources. The names of the malicious artifacts are listed below –

  • IPTV24 (hfgx.mqfy.fejku) – Dropper
  • Google Play (hobfjp.anrxf.cucm) – Massiv

“In most of the cases observed, it is just masquerading,” ThreatFabric said. “No actual IPTV applications were infected or initially contained malicious code. Usually, the dropper that mimics an IPTV app opens a WebView with an IPTV website in it, while the actual malware is already installed and running on the device.”

The majority of Android malware campaigns using TV-related droppers have targeted Spain, Portugal, France, and Turkey over the past six months.

Massiv is the latest entrant to an already crowded Android threat landscape, reflecting the continuing demand for such turnkey solutions among cybercriminals.

“While not yet observed being promoted as Malware-as-a-Service, Massiv’s operator shows clear signs of going this path, introducing API keys to be used in malware communication with the backend,” ThreatFabric said. “Code analysis revealed ongoing development, with more features likely to be introduced in the future.”

Migrants are not responsible for the UK’s healthcare crisis | Health

0

Last week, Reform UK’s newest MP, Suella Braverman, and the party’s chairman, Zia Yusuf, argued that high levels of migration are placing unsustainable pressure on GP services, leaving British patients struggling to get appointments. This follows new data released by the Centre for Migration Control, suggesting that 752,000 migrants joined the GP register last year.

The Centre for Migration Control, a think tank focused on reducing immigration in the United Kingdom, based its claim on Flag-4 GP registrations, a category that counts anyone whose previous address was outside the UK for three months or more – a group that can include returning British residents as well as new arrivals. The figure of 752,000 Flag-4 registrations may seem large, but it accounted for just more than one in 10 of the roughly 6.5 million new GP registrations last year, a share that falls well short of the “unquenchable demand” Reform portrays. While the party continues to blame immigration for GP access pressures, it overlooks a central fact about the NHS workforce: More than 40 percent of doctors currently licensed to practise in the UK qualified overseas, and international graduates now make up the majority of new entrants to the medical register. The system Reform claims is being overwhelmed by migrants is, in reality, heavily sustained by them. Yet rhetoric tying GP shortages solely to migrant patients is becoming more frequent.

These claims echo across the UK’s wider far right. Tommy Robinson, the anti-Islam activist and former leader of the English Defence League, has repeatedly claimed the NHS is being “swamped by the rest of the world”, framing healthcare as another border to be defended. In this telling, the NHS becomes the last national institution under siege from migration. Yet the NHS is woven into Britain’s sense of itself. Almost every citizen has relied on it at some point in their lives, as it was designed to serve people from cradle to grave, and the emotional attachment to it remains strong despite its present strains. But unlike other parts of British life that politicians routinely blame migrants for reshaping, the NHS has always been intertwined with migration – just not for the reasons now being invoked.

The NHS was built on migrant labour, something that no politician has quite come to grips with since it was introduced. In 1948, an exodus of British doctors began at the formation of the health service, with many leaving for countries such as the United States, Canada and Australia, and Britain increasingly looking to its former colonies for a continued workforce supply. By 1971, about 31 percent of NHS doctors in England were born and qualified overseas. Even Enoch Powell, widely regarded as the chief architect of Britain’s modern anti-immigration movement, called for and supported the recruitment of doctors from abroad during his time as minister of health in the early 1960s. In a 1961 House of Lords debate, Lord Cohen of Birkenhead stated that the “Health Service would have collapsed” had it not been for junior doctors from India and Pakistan. This is without even taking into account the effect of the Windrush generation or Irish migrants, who formed a significant part of the nursing workforce in post-war Britain. This cognitive dissonance was apparent even in recent governments. Take former Home Secretary Priti Patel, under Boris Johnson’s Conservative government, who enforced some of the harshest migration conditions in recent decades, yet also introduced the Health and Care Visa and oversaw a significant increase in the recruitment of overseas healthcare workers during and after the pandemic to meet workforce shortages. Britain knows its health service cannot function without migration, but it never has.

This is not a new debate. In the 2010s, successive Conservative governments, while overseeing years of austerity and historically low funding growth in the health service, blamed migrants for its woes. The NHS migrant surcharge was introduced in 2015 as the Immigration Health Surcharge, forcing migrants who move to Britain to pay additional costs to use the NHS, despite many also contributing through income tax and national insurance. Currently, the surcharge stands at 1,035 pounds ($1,405) per year per adult, which can easily rack up significantly higher costs for families relocating to Britain. Thus, migrants do pay more to use the National Health Service. So why does Britain continue to blame them for the faltering service time and again?

The redirection tactic is easier to use than dealing with the complexity of fixing the NHS. The service has become so fragmented that it is almost impossible to work out where exactly the blame should lie internally, or where to begin when trying to fix the numerous problems that lead to poor wait times. Blaming migrants, however, is easy. It is tangible, too. Images regularly circulate on social media of A&E departments filled with brown and Black patients waiting to be seen, with racist captions blaming “foreigners” for the wait – even though they could very easily be British nationals. None of those posts ever considers that close to half of doctors currently practising in the UK qualified overseas. Instead, visible ethnic differences are enough to convince them that immigration is the cause of the NHS’s faults. Politicians jump on this sentiment, and the truth becomes irrelevant.

Reform, for example, fails to take into account that research from the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government found that areas with more migrants do not experience longer NHS waiting times and, in some cases, even record slightly shorter waits. Migrants are often younger, healthier and therefore less likely to use GP services than Britain’s ageing population. Explaining that to the British public, however, is more complicated than adding it to the ever-growing list of things to blame immigrants for.

British politics has become encapsulated in two recurring debates – fixing the NHS, and migration. Just as the NHS stokes up emotion in British politics, migration causes a heated conversation. Combining the two creates a political firestorm that Reform believes will lead them to election victory – a tactic which has been used before, when the now infamous Vote Leave bus claimed the NHS would receive money going to the European Union, helping the Vote Leave campaign win the Brexit referendum. It wins voters, even if the figures do not stand up to scrutiny.

This is why, now, Health Secretary Wes Streeting has introduced fast-tracked legislation to prioritise British doctors in training posts over international ones, to “back homegrown talent”, and the Labour government has proposed tightening the social care worker visa route. Britain remains short of doctors, nurses and social care workers, but the last few years have proved a marked ideological shift. No longer is the debate about “good immigrants” who are needed in the NHS – the policy is to deter all migrants, for short-term political gain. Perhaps when Britain releases itself from the idea that it is competing with migrants for care, it will realise that migrants are the care.

The shirt which you would have thrown away, is being bought by rich people for Rs 1 lakh and they are getting photoshoots done wearing it!

Last Updated:

In today’s time, marketing has become such a trick that if done properly, even useless things can be sold at a good price. An example of this is going viral on social media in the form of a burnt shirt.

Rich people are buying the shirt you would have thrown away for Rs 1 lakh.Zoom

Nowadays anything has become possible in the world of luxury fashion. While the common man throws away his shirt when it gets burnt while ironing at home, the rich class consider the things as ‘art’ or ‘statement piece’ and are ready to pay lakhs of rupees.

The latest example of this is the new release from Swiss-French luxury brand Vetements – White Ironing Burn Graphic Shirt. This white oversized shirt has a graphic print of iron burn marks near the chest pocket, which looks exactly like a real burn. But this is not a mistake, rather it has been deliberately designed. Your eyes will burst after hearing its price.

The new fashion statement of the rich
The price of this shirt is $1,139, i.e. around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.03 lakh in Indian rupees. This shirt has gone viral on social media. People are writing in the comments – “I make this at home for free every day”, “Throwable shirts are being sold for Rs 1 lakh”, “There is a joke going on in luxury fashion”. Some users are jokingly saying that now keep the old burnt shirts at home, maybe some brand will buy them too!

New marketing trick
The Vetements brand is already famous for such unique and provocative designs. This brand is a master of ‘ironic luxury’. Earlier also he had converted trash bags into handbags and sold them for lakhs, and had presented torn jeans in high fashion. Similarly, this Iron Burn design is also part of the ‘distressed’ or old/worn look. This trend has been going on in the fashion industry for decades – where imperfections are celebrated instead of perfection.

choice of the rich rich
Rich people buy such pieces because it becomes a symbol of their status – “I’m so rich that I can spend millions on something that looks deliberately ‘bad’”. If we look at the features of this shirt, it is made of cotton, has a pointed collar, oversized fit and has a button closure in the front. But the real feature is the printed burn mark, which is so realistic that at first glance it seems that the shirt has actually been burnt. The brand calls it ‘graphic print’, which makes a statement in the language of fashion. This is an amazing trick from a marketing point of view – a simple white shirt was created a buzz with such a design that the whole world is talking about. Many people are calling it creative. He argues that fashion is not just clothes but an idea or message. But most of the common people are considering it overpriced and nonsense.

Who is Dame Antonia Romeo – the first ever woman cabinet secretary? | Politics News

0

She’s anything but the traditional stuffy Whitehall mandarin in the mould of Sir Humphrey Appleby in TV’s Yes Minister.

Britain’s new top civil servant, Dame Antonia Romeo, 51, might even seem a surprising choice as the new cabinet secretary – the first woman to do the job – for a prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer, who’s accused of being dull and conventional.

While Dame Antonia was a diplomat in New York, she attended and hosted lavish parties with celebs including Ab Fab star Joanna Lumley, publishers Rupert Murdoch and Anna Wintour, top fashion models and designers such as Calvin Klein and the now-disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Politics latest: First woman appointed as head of the civil service

She’s controversial because of allegations, investigated by the Cabinet Office and dismissed with “no case to answer”, of bullying and questionable expenses claims, including private school fees for her children and a last-minute flight to attend the BAFTA awards.

The boss of the top civil servants’ union, Dave Penman, blamed “misogyny” for the allegations and claimed she was targeted because she was a “female candidate with a profile” and an “outgoing, dynamic” personality.

Image: Dame Antonia Romeo. Pic :HM Government

There have been other barbs, though. A role as the Civil Service’s gender champion, after setting up Whitehall’s “gender equality leadership group”, earned her the nickname “the Queen of Woke”.

She certainly has an impressive CV, which is even longer than her full name, Dame Antonia Rebecca Caroline Angharad Catherine Romeo. In fact, her romantic surname is her married name. She was born Antonia Rice-Evans.

She has been the top civil servant, the permanent secretary, in three large government departments, International Trade, the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office, where she has been in charge since April last year.

She may be seen as unorthodox and unconventional, but she has the traditional background for a top Whitehall mandarin, Westminster public school and then PPE, politics, philosophy, and economics at Oxford University.

She did not join the civil service immediately after university, though, instead working for three years as a business consultant. But once she did, first at the Lord Chancellor’s Department and then the Department of Constitutional Affairs, she was soon a high-flyer and her ascent was swift.

Back at the Lord Chancellor’s department, she was principal private secretary – Bernard Woolley in Yes Minister – to Charlie Falconer in Tony Blair’s government and then Jack Straw when Gordon Brown was PM.

Further promotions came fast. In David Cameron’s Coalition government, she worked for Tory minister Francis Maude in the Cabinet Office, then back to the Justice ministry and again back to the Cabinet Office.

Then came the diplomatic posts in New York, where she earned her reputation for the party lifestyle, before becoming the top mandarin at International Trade under Liam Fox.

Then it was back to Justice and the top job, under five secretaries of state, Tories Robert Buckland, Dominic Raab (twice), Brandon Lewis and Alex Chalk, and Labour’s Shabana Mahmood, before the Home Office under Yvette Cooper and Mahmood again.

As well as her glittering, if controversial career, Romeo is president of the Whitehall Choir, said to be one of London’s leading amateur choirs.

And after the brutal way cabinet secretary Sir Chris Wormald has been ousted by the PM after just over a year in the job, she will be hoping to sing from the same hymn sheet as Sir Keir.

Or his successor, of course.

Poland’s PM tells Poles to leave Iran amid ‘very real’ prospect of war

Poland’s prime minister Donald Tusk has urged Polish citizens to immediately leave Iran, adding that “under no circumstances anyone should be travelling to that country” as he warned that the prospect of active conflict is “very, very real”.

Tusk said that the conflict could erupt within “a few, a dozen or several dozen hours,” and “evacuation may no longer be an option.”

Please, take this seriously. We’ve had bad experiences in the past with people ignoring these warnings. So, I want to emphasise this one more time: leave Iran immediately or cancel your travel plans. If a hot conflict breaks out, no one will be able to guarantee you a way out,” he said at a press conference.

Boeing relocates defense HQ to American heartland, leaving blue state behind

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

After nearly a decade in Virginia, Boeing announced on Wednesday that it is moving its Defense, Space & Security headquarters out of the state back to St. Louis. This comes just weeks after new Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger took office, replacing Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin.

In a Wednesday statement, Boeing said that its decision to move its defense headquarters to St. Louis emphasizes company leadership’s “commitment to being present and engaged with teammates who are designing, producing and delivering vital defense and space products and capabilities for customers in the U.S. and around the world.”

The company said that it is progressing on a multi-billion-dollar investment in “the world’s most advanced combat aircraft production facilities,” including in St. Louis.

The change moves the defense headquarters from Arlington, Virginia, back to its former site in St. Louis, where much of the company’s products are designed and manufactured. Boeing’s headquarters was in Arlington, a suburb of Washington, D.C., for nearly a decade, with the company moving in 2017.

Boeing cited leadership proximity to its workers, saying that “by aligning leadership with the workforce and investing in state-of-the-art facilities, Boeing is poised to strengthen its core business and drive innovation in defense solutions for the U.S. military and global allies.”

Steve Parker, Boeing Defense, Space & Security CEO, said that “the headquarters move, coupled with our senior leaders being based at and spending their time at major engineering, production and manufacturing centers across the U.S., reflects our continued focus on disciplined performance across our business.”

“It’s important for leaders to be side-by-side with our teammates, listening to their feedback and acting to remove obstacles as we continue to stabilize and strengthen our business,” added Parker.

Missouri Republican Gov. Mike Kehoe hailed the move as a major “win for the heartland.”

“Missouri is the best place in the nation for aerospace and defense manufacturing, and having the Boeing Defense headquarters back where it belongs is a win for our workers and a win for the heartland,” said Kehoe, adding, “We are proud to see this leadership return to the production floor where the real work of defending our nation happens every day.”

The departure comes just over a month after Spanberger took office as Virginia’s governor. Though she campaigned as a pragmatic centrist, critics have said her day-one actions depict a very different approach.

In a flurry of executive orders after her inauguration, the Democrat rescinded ex-Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s 287(g) order that instituted cooperation with ICE, reprioritized diversity, equity and inclusion and seized on broad affordability initiatives, including housing regulation reviews that align with progressive approaches to zoning.

Former House colleague Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, has criticized Spanberger’s leadership, telling Fox News Digital that “less than a month in office as governor of Virginia, Abigail Spanberger has shown a commitment to turning the commonwealth into California.”

While Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security headquarters is moving back to St. Louis, Boeing’s global headquarters appears to be staying in Arlington, Va after it moved in May 2022, months after Youngkin became governor in Virginia.

Will Reena Paswan enter politics? Chirag Paswan has made preparations, waiting for approval from BJP!

0

Five Rajya Sabha seats are going to become vacant in Bihar. Voting is to be held on 16 March (2026). With the release of the notification, politics has also started in Bihar. The question is whether the sitting MPs will be repeated? If not then who will get the chance? Discussion about such things has started.

Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal United have strong claims on five seats. Only after the results of Bihar Assembly elections, it was considered certain that out of the vacant Rajya Sabha seats, JDU will send its candidates to Rajya Sabha on two seats and Bharatiya Janata Party will send its candidates to Rajya Sabha on two seats. On another seat, both these parties will adjust their allies, but there are three parties contending on this one seat.

Who are the contenders except BJP-JDU?

Chirag Paswan’s party is at the first position in the race, Hindustani Awam Morcha is at the second position and Upendra Kushwaha’s party is at the third position. However, Upendra Kushwaha’s claim cannot be taken lightly. His claim is also strong because he has gone to Rajya Sabha from BJP quota. When his party got less seats in the 2025 assembly elections, the discussion intensified that Upendra Kushwaha may get one Rajya Sabha and one Bihar Legislative Council seat.

Talking about Chirag Paswan, during the Bihar Assembly elections, his party was claiming 35 seats. After the formula of seats in NDA was revealed, Chirag Paswan’s displeasure started becoming visible. For damage control, two prominent leaders were sent from Delhi to convince and manage Chirag Paswan. After this Chirag Paswan agreed on 29 seats. The party won 19 seats. In such a situation, one seat can be found in Rajya Sabha. During the elections, it was said about Chirag Paswan and his party that they had received assurance from BJP that they would be given a Rajya Sabha seat.

If Chirag gets the offer, who will he send to Rajya Sabha?

In such a situation, the biggest thing is who will Chirag Paswan send from his party? Because no party can anger Chirag Paswan in NDA. In such a situation, the one seat available can be given to LJPR. That means Chirag Paswan can send someone to Rajya Sabha. There is also discussion that if a seat in Rajya Sabha falls in LJP Ram Vilas’s court, then he can send his mother Reena Paswan to Rajya Sabha from this seat. Chirag Paswan and the party are internally preparing for one seat.

On the other hand, Jitan Ram Manjhi, who cursed the NDA alliance, is also a contender. He had raised questions during seat distribution during the assembly elections. In such a situation, he will also stake claim for a seat in Rajya Sabha.
