A case was filed against a total of seven people, including renowned businessmen Nusli Neville Wadia, Maurine Nusli Wadia, Ness Wadia, Jahangir Nusli Wadia and others for allegedly using alleged fake and fabricated documents in the court against Ferrani Hotels Private Limited at Bangur Nagar Police Station in Mumbai.

Bangur Nagar Police Station of Mumbai has started further investigation by registering a case under sections 318 (4), 331 (2), 336 (3), 339, 340 (2), 61 (2) and 3 (5) of BNS. In the complaint, it was alleged that with the intention of taking financial benefits and fraud and deceit, the accused illegally used fake and fake documents.

Controversy over 30 -year -old agreement between Wadia and Ferrani Hotels

The complainant had moved the court against the Wadia family, after which the Borivali court ordered the police to register a case. The court gave the Bangur Nagar Police Nusli Wadia, Maurine Wadia (78), Ness Wadia (54), Jahangir Wadia (52), H.J. Bamji (75), K. F. Bharucha and R. The police registered a case against E. Vandewala (65) for alleged fraud and forgery, after which the police registered a case.

According to the information received from the police, this dispute is about the 30 -year development agreement between Wadia and Ferrani Hotels on a land plot located in Malad. Under this agreement, Ferrani Hotels, Builder K.K. The land was to be developed with Raheja and Wadia was sure to get 12% of the total sales income.

Case went on in various courts including Bombay High Court and Supreme Court

After the dispute arose in 2008, a long legal battle began on the sale of Wadia’s part and management of land. There have been allegations of malicious, lack of rights and commercial disputes in this case and the matter went on in various courts including Bombay High Court and Supreme Court.

The complainant, Ferrani Hotels Private Limited and CEO of his group companies Mahendra Chanda (70) told the police that the accused allegedly made fake documents and presented them against them in a commercial case in the Bombay High Court in 2010.

The court ordered FIR after ignoring the police

The complainant lodged a complaint on 15 March 2025 with Bangur Nagar Police Station and on 24 March with the Mumbai Police Commissioner. However, the police did not take cognizance of his complaint nor registered an FIR.

After this, he had to file a private complaint in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Borivali. Based on his complaint, the court issued an order to Bangur Nagar Police Station.
