‘Old announcements are gathering dust, there will be a shower of slogans again’, Julie said before Rajasthan Budget

Before the budget to be presented in Rajasthan Assembly on Wednesday (February 11), Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie has made a scathing attack on the functioning of the government. Issuing an official statement, Julie did a ‘reality check’ on the government’s past promises and termed the current regime as ‘anti-development and headline loving’. He claimed that 26 percent of the works have not even been touched upon yet.

The Leader of Opposition surrounded the government with concrete figures and said that amidst the noise of advertisements and claims, the ground is completely empty. He told that

  • Total Announcements: 2717
  • Completed works: only 754
  • Zero progress: There are 707 announcements (26.02%) which have not been touched by the government even after two years have passed.

Julie raised the question, “When the previous announcements do not exist on the ground, then what is the justification for the new budget? This budget will not be a document of the development of the state, but will be a ‘veil of figures’ to hide the failure of the BJP.”

Wheel of development jammed under CM’s nose – Tikaram Julie

Attacking the administrative laxity of the government, Julie gave the example that the flyover of Civil Lines of Jaipur is still incomplete, whereas the Chief Minister’s convoy passes through this route every day. He said, “How will a government which cannot complete the projects going on in front of its eyes, bring development to the remote areas of the state?” The announcement of Sahakar Marg flyover has remained only a paper bridge.”

What did Julie say about refinery and electric buses?

Taking a dig at the delay in important projects, Julie said, “BJP has turned Barmer Refinery into ‘Birbal ki Khichdi’. The deadline of December 2024 was extended to August 2025, but today there is no sign of launch even till February 2026.

He further said, “It was promised to provide 1000 electric buses to the state in 2024.” Two years passed, but not a single new bus hit the roads. Even today people are forced to travel in smoke-spewing sour buses.

The public is watching the ‘juggling of figures’ – Julie

Leader of Opposition warned that the person scheduled to appear tomorrow Budget There will also be a lot of tempting statements and false expectations. The government will again use heavy jargon to hide its performance report (which is zero). He made it clear that the aware people of Rajasthan are no longer going to fall for these deceptions and are demanding an account of the last two years from the government.
