Noida’s dream of connecting with the sky after almost 25 years will be completely fulfilled today. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Noida International Airport. Along with this, he will also inaugurate the cargo terminal and lay the foundation stone of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operation) center to be built for the repair of aircraft. Domestic commercial flights and cargo facilities at the airport are likely to start by the last week of April. In the first phase of the airport, development work has been done in an area of 1334 hectares. The airport, built at a cost of about Rs 11,200 crore, is ready for take-off.

PM will inspect before inauguration
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inspect the terminal building of Noida Airport at around 11:30 am on Saturday. After which the Prime Minister will inaugurate the airport at 12 noon. State Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Civil Aviation Ministry Minister Ram Mohan Naidu will attend the ceremony. After some time the Prime Minister will address the public meeting. The public meeting will be held at some distance from the terminal in the airport premises.

VVIP Expressway and common people will enter from Kishorepur
Three big pandals have been made for the inauguration program and the Prime Minister’s public meeting. It is estimated that 1.5 lakh people will gather in the PM’s rally. VVIP’s entry in the program will be from Greenfield Expressway at 33 km cut of Yamuna Expressway. Whereas the entry of general public will be through Kishorepur route. For the convenience of people, five gates have been made to enter the function. 20 thousand vehicles are expected to attend the function. More than 15 parking spaces have been created for this. People from Delhi-NCR, Western Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are also likely to come to the airport.

To reach the airport, resort to taxi and private vehicle.
With the commencement of domestic flights, the facility of cabs and buses is to be provided. For this, NIA has signed MoU with UP Roadways, Delhi Roadways, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan Roadways. Apart from this, NIA also has agreements with some cab companies.

Yamuna Expressway is an option for those reaching Noida Airport in private vehicles from cities like Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad etc. An interchange for Greenfield Expressway has been built at the 32nd km of Yamuna Expressway. This route of about 800 meter elevated greenfield expressway has already been prepared.
