It was a courtesy call. There he gave me his resignation. After this I came to the Legislative Council with the paper. His resignation has been accepted. Further process is being done. He said that soon the election for the vacant seat of the Legislative Council will be announced. We have suffered an irreparable loss due to Nitish Kumar’s departure. The whole of Bihar is saddened by his departure. Such a good, developing and taking everyone Chief Minister is now going to the Centre. Nitish Kumar took Bihar forward a lot. Bihar developed a lot. Nitish Kumar is a very patient and loyal person.
JDU leaders themselves had shown the resignation letter earlier
Nitish Kumar did not resign after coming to the Legislative Council. It was the last date, so since morning there was a stir to see whether the CM would come out or not. But, Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh himself reached the Chief Minister’s residence. Met him. After that he came out carrying his resignation letter. JDU quota ministers and other leaders were also there. Sanjay Gandhi also close to Nitish. It was Sanjay Gandhi who showed that resignation letter in front of the media in the Legislative Council. However, later Awadhesh Narayan Singh also talked about bringing his resignation as part of a courtesy meeting. When asked about this, BJP leaders said that 14 days were going on after the process of Rajya Sabha elections. Today was the last date of resignation and also the last day of Nitish Kumar in the Legislative Council, hence no question can be raised on the Chairman going for a courtesy meeting.
