Snakes Facts: Many snakes hidden under the ground during the rainy season come out, but do you know, all of these snakes are not poisonous, let’s know about them today … (Report: Sawan Patil)

It is common for snakes to leave snakes during the rainy season. As soon as rain drops fall on the earth. Many creatures hidden under the ground come out. Among them, the most discussed and fear is about snakes. People get nervous due to the presence of snakes in the fields, barn, enclosure, streets and sometimes houses. Often this fear is not fatal, but inadvertently a step taken can be harmful for the animal as well as humans.

Many people believe that every snake is poisonous and if it bite, death is certain, but this is completely wrong. About 80% of snakes found in India are non-throat. They do not harm humans, but play a very important role for the environment.

Many of these snakes eat rats, insects and other organisms that harm crops, which saves the yield of the farmer. Killing snakes not only causes damage to biodiversity, but inadvertently we can also get into trouble ourselves – especially when the snake is poisonous and we do not get recognition.

Checked Kalback (Water Spamp): This snake is seen near ponds, canals and fields. Its color is green and striped. It hunts fish in water and stays away from humans.

Rat Snake (Dhaman): India’s longest non-throat snake. It is the biggest enemy of mice found in the fields. Craws at a very high speed and does not harm.

Sand Boa (Domunha Snake): Its head and tail look the same, due to which people are confused and consider it to be a split snake and get scared. It is completely safe and a snake living under the ground.

Cat snake is light poisonous, but it is not fatal for humans. It is usually activated at night and stays on trees. Blind snake is the smallest snake, often people crush it as a worm. It lives under the ground and is very innocent.

Common Wolf Snakes looks like Karait many times, causing people to get confused, but it is not poisonous. Red Sand Boa is a species of domination snake, this snake is particularly trapped in illegal trade, while it is completely safe and is necessary for natural balance.

If you have anticipation of a snake, instead of killing it, call the forest department or local expert. The killing of snakes is illegal under India’s Wildlife Act 1972. Tell the people around you as much as possible that not every snake is fatal.

In the rainy season, when a snake is seen next time, before killing it, think that it is really poisonous? Perhaps he is the protector of your crops, or is maintaining a balance of nature. Just do not take any innocent life in fear and confusion – this is prudence.
