Social media has become a place from where people get various information. There are many things that we use but we do not know much about them. In such a situation, when people get their information through social media, everyone is shocked. When one such video was shared on social media, millions of people were forced to think – ‘What is this, which is neither fruit, nor vegetable, but it has tasted it in every house plate?’

The answer is – big cardamom or black cardamam! These small fruits of light maroon color, which are filled with seeds, are the secret of biryani, casserole, tea and sweets. But 99 percent of the people leave its name, could not even recognize the plant. A farmer from Sikkim shared a reel on Instagram, in which he showed large cardamom cultivation. Surprisingly, it was said that more than half of the people watching the reel could not understand what it is?

Big work spice
Big Cardamom (Scientific Name: AMAM Sabulatam) is a plant of the Jinjibresi family, mainly grown in the northeastern states of India – Sikkim, Darjeeling, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh of West Bengal. It is not a fruit or vegetable, but a spice crop, which flourishes in sub-himlainal areas with a height of 1200 to 2000 meters. Its plant is 2-3 meters high, the leaves are long and the flowers are white-yellow. But real amazing is of its fruits. There are light maroon colored capsules which are hidden black seeds inside. These seeds are dried and used as a spice, whose spicy, smoke -like taste is part of every Indian kitchen.
