Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of four candidates for Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra. In such a situation, ticket has been given to Ramdas Athawale for the third time. After being made Rajya Sabha candidate, Ramdas Athawale has expressed his gratitude to the party leadership.
At the same time, he has also made a big disclosure regarding his ticket. He told that there was discussion that I may not get Rajya Sabha. The subject came up in it that BJP gives Rajya Sabha ticket to whomever it gives only twice. For this reason there was talk that my name was going to be deleted.
What did Ramdas Athawale say on being made a candidate for the third time?
Ramdas Athawale said that it was also discussed that my Rajya Sabha tenure has been completed twice, hence I will not get Rajya Sabha seat. My card may be cut. He further said that my name cannot be cut at all. I have told many times that Narendra Modi has become the Prime Minister for the third time and if he becomes the Prime Minister for the fourth time then I will also become a minister for the fourth time.
Athawale further said that I work for the vision of the people with whom I live and PM Narendra Modi’s agenda is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Their role is to develop and the country’s economy has come at fourth place and is about to go to third place. He further said that I have got the opportunity to work again across the country, which I will continue to do well.
I was confident that I would get a chance- Ramdas Athawale
Ramdas Athawale told PTI that he was confident that he would get a chance in the Rajya Sabha. He further said that I am a leader of Bhimrao Ambedkar’s ideology and I am working to fulfill his mission. Similarly, for the third time, PM Modi has given me an opportunity to develop the poor and unemployed across the country.
On being made a candidate for the third time, he further said that Narendra Modi, Amit ShahNitin Nabin, Rajnath Singh, BL Santosh and Devendra Fadnavis has contributed the most. He tried hard for my name. Due to the efforts of Devendra Fadnavis, I got a chance for Rajya Sabha.
What did NCP say about Sharad Pawar?
There are intense discussions about making Sharad Pawar the candidate. Responding to this, he said that Sharad Pawar is a senior leader and his name is being discussed with Uddhav Thackeray and Harsh Vardhan Sapkal to bring him to Rajya Sabha. He further said that if there is unanimity on the name of Sharad Pawar, the election can be unopposed.
In this, the role of the leaders of Mahayuti is that if their name comes then all the seven candidates will not be contested, but they can consider fielding all the seven candidates in someone else’s name.
