An incident has come to light from Ratanpur village of Barharwa police station area of Sahibganj district, which has shocked the people. On the night of 7 February, 14 year old Ayush was murdered. Initially the case seemed suspicious, but when the police investigated, the truth turned out to be very shocking.
According to the police, 33-year-old Meenu Devi was having an illicit relationship with her relative Rohit Saha for the last two years. It is being told that Ayush had seen his mother and Rohit in an objectionable condition on the night of 7th February. This thing displeased both of them. Due to the fear of defamation and fear of the secret being revealed, he took a big step.
Murder by strangulation, body thrown in bushes
It is alleged that Meenu Devi and Rohit together strangled Ayush. After the murder, the body was thrown in the bushes near the pond near the village to destroy the evidence. The discovery of the dead body the next day created a sensation in the area. The villagers immediately informed the police.
Layers of conspiracy revealed in interrogation
During the investigation, the police became suspicious of the family members. When interrogated strictly, both broke down and confessed to their crime. Police have registered case number 28/2026 and arrested both the accused and have sent them to judicial custody.
Barharwa SDPO Nitin Khandelwal said that investigation has revealed that there was a relationship between the mother and her relative. The child saw them, after which he was murdered. Both have accepted their crime.
