Seeing the huge uproar after the incident, the health department came into action and the team of CMO office conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital.
This investigation has exposed gross negligence and serious shortcomings of the hospital. At the same time, a statement by the Additional CMO who reached the spot has created a new controversy in this matter.
Irresponsible statement of Additional CMO
Additional CMO (ACMO) Ashutosh Srivastava, who came to investigate the matter, inspected the hospital for hours. During this time, when a question was asked about the lack of arrangements for the ambulance to reach the hospital, he gave a surprising answer. The ACMO said, “The health department only grants license to the hospital. It is not the responsibility of the department to arrange access roads and ambulances to the hospital.” After this statement, serious questions have started being raised on the functioning of the health department.
These serious flaws came to light in the investigation:

The hospital was sealed last year also
Surprisingly, Parameshwari Devi Memorial Hospital is not new to controversies. Due to irregularities, this hospital was sealed last year also. Despite this, how it was operating again is a matter of investigation.
FIR and warning of license cancellation
Additional CMO Ashutosh Srivastava said that the case of death of mother and child is being thoroughly investigated. If the hospital operator and doctor are found guilty in the investigation, then an FIR will be lodged against them immediately. Along with this, if the standards of the hospital are not met, strict action will be taken by canceling its license and resealing it.
Activity of brokers admitted in district hospital
During the investigation, the Additional CMO also openly admitted that complaints had been received about the activity of brokers of private hospitals in the government district hospital. This racket, which tricks patients into taking them to private hospitals, will also be investigated soon and strict punitive action will be taken against the culprits.
