
Strong charge sheet, powerful advocacy and testimony were important in the life imprisonment of the culprits of Mainather riots. There were three hundred dates in this case. 22 witnesses were presented in the court. Every truth of the incident came out from these witnesses. On the basis of 26 documents and 18 material evidence, the court sentenced the culprits to life imprisonment in a 47-page verdict.

On October 1, 2011, a charge sheet was filed by the police in the case of attack on the then DIG Ashok Kumar Singh and other police personnel in Dingarpur, Mainather on July 6, 2011. Whose hearing took place in the court of ADJ-2 Krishna Kumar Singh.

On behalf of the prosecution, then DIG and present ADG Ashok Kumar Singh, then DM and present Managing Director of Jal Nigam Rajshekhar, plaintiff of the case Ravi Kumar, FIR writer Sushil Kumar, police personnel Surendra Kumar Chaudhary, Suraj Bhan, Dr. Pritam Bala, SI Radheshyam, investigator Rajesh Chaudhary, SI Arun Kumar, petrol pump salesman, Dr. Veelal, SO Mukesh Kumar, SHO Rajiv Kumar, Statements of SSI Jasvir Singh, constable Sunil Kumar, constable Sunil Kumar Singh Pratap, Chandrapal Singh, Dr. Ankur Goyal who treated the DIG, Kaushalendra, driver Suresh Kumar and platoon commander Rajesh Singh were recorded.

Apart from this, 26 documents were presented in the court as evidence including Tahrir, FIR, GD, whistle, lanyard, collar and other recovered items, dust of uniform stained with soil and blood, copy of DIG’s medical report and his statement, map of the incident, charge sheet, Santram’s medical report, X-ray report, copy of the letter sent by driver Suresh Kumar to the DM.

Apart from this, body protector, shoes, whistle lanyard, solder flap, collar band, pen, name plate, police colour, brick ballast bag, pistol lanyard, clothes and photographs of damaged police vehicles were also presented in the court as material evidence. The hearing lasted for about 12 years, more than 300 dates were taken and then a 47-page order came. In which all 16 convicts have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
