The administration has taken the first major action amid the shortage of petrol and diesel in Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh. A petrol pump located in Amarpatan area was raided late night. This action took place at Mahadeva Petrol Pump located in village Kakra where a complaint of irregularities in diesel distribution was received. In fact, a video quickly went viral on social media, in which diesel was seen filling four drums kept in a tractor.
SDM, SDPO checked the stock of petrol pump
As soon as the video surfaced, the administration came into action and taking the matter seriously, investigation was started. A joint team of SDM, SDPO and Revenue Department reached the spot and carefully checked the stock of the petrol pump. During the investigation, possible irregularities in the records and actual stock were suspected, due to which the petrol pump was sealed.
Diesel is not available for a long time, the customer had made a video
It is being told that this video was made by a customer who was standing in the queue for a long time, waiting for his turn, but was not able to get diesel. During this time, he saw that a large quantity of diesel was being filled in a tractor by placing four separate drums. Angered by this, he made a video of the entire incident and shared it on social media, after which the matter spread rapidly and the administration had to intervene.
At present, the administration has started investigating the entire matter and is also searching for the tractor driver who had filled the diesel in the drum. Officials say that if any kind of irregularity or violation of rules is found, strict action will be taken against the people concerned.
