There is a flood of faith in Omkareshwar on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival. A large number of devotees have been arriving in the religious city since late night to have darshan of Lord Bholenath. Devotees are attending the court of Lord Omkareshwar, the fourth Jyotirlinga among the 12 Jyotirlingas, with special enthusiasm and are waiting for darshan with the feeling of joining the procession of Baba.
early morning Darshan and worship started at 3 o’clock
The process of darshan and worship started in the temple from 3 am in the morning. Devotees were seen standing in queues since early morning, waiting for their turn. Many devotees were seen standing in long queues after taking bath in Maa Narmada, carrying worship material and water in their hands. Their aim was to seek blessings by offering water to God.
The temple complex echoed with cheers
On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the entire temple complex echoed with the chants of “Bol Bam” and “Bhole Shambhu”. A special atmosphere of enthusiasm and reverence was seen among the devotees. Religious rituals and worship continued in the temple premises since morning.
