Solapur Crime News: Solapur A very sensational news has come out from the city. In this, a case has come to light of raping a minor girl and then forcefully converting her to marry her. In this case, a case has been registered against five people including a lawyer in Solapur.
The incident took place in the Vijapur Naka police station limits of Solapur, and three people have been arrested so far. Israel Shaikh, Uzeb Shaikh, and ed. Abdullah Khatib has been arrested by the police, and two other accused are still absconding. But this incident has created an uproar in the city.
Blackmailed and raped a minor
According to the police, the accused Israel Shaikh was continuously stalking the victim, a minor girl. In December 2024, he obtained photographs and videos of the victim and blackmailed her. Then he took her to friend Uzeb Shaikh’s house and raped her. In December 2025, the accused Israel lured the victim for marriage and took her to the city Qazi office. Here Ed. Abdullah Khatib said that religious conversion is necessary for marriage and got some documents signed.
The victim lodged a complaint at Bijapur Road police station and said that after forceful conversion and marriage, we were kept in Kalaburagi, Karnataka for a few months. But there the accused’s cousin and his mother beat, starved and tortured the victim.
Truth revealed through DNA report- Police
After five months, the girl’s father has finally been arrested in the case of rape of a mentally weak girl. The arrest was made after the child’s DNA matched the father’s DNA. In this case, as a precaution, DNA samples of 17 people of the area were taken. In September, there was an uproar over the rape of a mentally weak girl in Cuffe Parade. Initially, due to stomach pain, the girl was admitted to Cama Hospital, where investigation revealed that she was five months pregnant.
Due to the girl being mentally weak, she was not able to tell who sexually assaulted her. Also, the father had refused to complain. The police later recorded the statement of the girl by drawing pictures and using the finger doll method with the help of a psychiatrist from a social organization. Also, according to the statement of the girl, based on the facts and available evidence, a 35-year-old man from the area was arrested. Additionally, a minor boy was also detained by the police; Charge sheet has also been filed against the accused arrested in this case.
