Prayagraj News: Mahakumbh, which is going to be organized on the banks of Triveni in January 2025, is going to become an important medium of employment for rural women. Women of rural self-help groups associated with the State Livelihood Mission will be given various stalls and shops in the Mahakumbh area. Its entire plan has been prepared by the State Livelihood Mission, in which only rural women will be engaged. This will provide direct or indirect employment to more than 5 thousand rural women. Be it Magh Mela, Kumbh Mela or Maha Kumbh, crores of people come to the fair area to organize these events. Along with bathing in Triveni, they take snacks and food items in the fair area. They buy items of their use for their home from Mahakumbh. In view of this, women of self-help groups are also being linked with employment. Deputy Commissioner NRLM Rajeev Kumar Singh says that there is a plan to give the responsibility of operating 5 canteens to these rural women in the fair area. A proposal for giving 10 shops to these women from each sector of the fair area is being sent to the Kumbh Mela Authority. Apart from this, a request has also been made to allot more than 40 shops to these rural women in Saras Haat of the fair.

Women’s products will be branded for Mahakumbh
The shops or stalls that these women will set up in the Mahakumbh area, their products are being prepared in such a way that The branding of Prayagraj Mahakumbh should also be done from city, town to every nook and corner of the village. According to Deputy Commissioner NRLM Rajeev Kumar Singh, there is a plan to keep multi-purpose items in these stalls allotted for women. There will be cold at the time of Maha Kumbh, hence mufflers are being made to protect from cold, on which the logo and slogan of Maha Kumbh will be written. Similarly, Maha Kumbh selfie caps are also being prepared for the young generation which will protect them from cold and will give a good look to the youth while taking selfies. Neha Nishad of Eklavya Aajeevika Mahila Group says that the women of her group are preparing these products in which the Kumbh logo will be printed. The Angavastram kept in the bundles being prepared for Prasad will also have the logo and slogan of Mahakumbh.

Food counters will open in Mahakumbh area

National Livelihood Mission is also planning to set up food counters in the Maha Kumbh Mela area. Rajeev Kumar Singh says that a cafeteria and 5 canteens will be opened in the fair area, where Shri Anna’s products will be served for breakfast and lunch.  Apart from this, more than half a dozen counters will also be opened in the district to provide food grains purchased from farmers producing grains. Chinta Devi, Chairperson of Nari Shakti Prerna Sankul Committee, says that various products are being prepared from barley, jowar, millet and desi jaggery of Shri Anna, which are to be kept in the stalls in Mahakumbh.
