Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has formed a strategic partnership with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) To support India’s advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) Program, The Companies Announced Tuesday.

The consortium will respond to an expression of interest notice issued by the government of India’s aeronautical development agency in the Coming Weeks. The Amca Program Aims to Develop a 5th-Generation Fighter Aircraft for the Indian Air Force.

The partnership combines l & t’s expertise in defense and aerospace platforms with bel’s experience in defense electronics and systems. Both Companies Previous Contributed to India’s Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Program, with L & T Supplying Aero-Structure Modules and Bel Developing Avionics and Electroonic Systems.

Bel Chairman & Managing Director Manoj Jain Called The Partnership “A Crucial Step” in Realising India’s Defense Technology Vision.

The collaboration aligns with the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ Initiative for Defense Self-Reliance. L&T is a $ 30 billion multiineational, while belt, a navratna psu, reported annual sales of $ 2.74 billion in fy 2024-25.

The shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Were Trading at ₹ 3,686.70 Up by ₹ 29.10 or 0.80 per cent on the Nse Today at 10.20 AM and That of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) Were Trading at ₹ 403.20 down by ₹ 1.25 or 0.31 per cent.
