
A road accident occurred on Monday morning in Dadasiba of Dehra sub -division of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. The bus of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) going from Talwara to Dadasiba-Baddi was uncontrolled near Gurala. 36 passengers were injured in the accident, including many school children. There was chaos on the spot after the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the bus reached Gurala, the driver’s control over the bus was removed and the bus overturned on the road. After that there was a scream among the passengers. The locals immediately reached the spot and started relief work. The injured were rushed to Dadasiba Civil Hospital by ambulance and private vehicles.
Treatment continues in hospital
The team of doctors in the hospital has started treatment of the injured. According to the information, five serious injured including a woman have been referred to Tanda Medical College and other hospitals. The remaining injured are being given first aid at Dadasiba Hospital.
On receiving the information of the accident, Jaswan-Paragpur MLA and former minister Bikram Singh Thakur also reached the hospital and came to know the condition of the injured. He said that this incident is very sad, and there will be no shortage in the treatment of the injured by the government.
Congress leader Surinder reached Mankotia Hospital
Congress leader Surinder Mankotia also reached the hospital and assured the injured of all possible help. The police have registered a case and started investigating the cause of the accident. Let me tell you, in another case, 5 people were killed and more than 20 passengers were injured when HRTC bus fell into a ditch in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
Three seriously injured passengers have been referred to AIIMS Bilaspur. Ambulances and rescue teams have reached the spot soon after the bus accident. Local people were also engaged in relief and rescue operations.
