A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a retired soldier, who was involved in the Kargil war, shot dead his wife and 16-year-old son and then committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. After this incident there is chaos in the entire village. The police have taken the bodies of all three in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. Further legal action is being taken.
This incident happened in Bakhriya village of Sen West Para police station area of Kanpur. This incident came to light when the police received information on Monday morning that an unknown person had committed suicide by coming in front of a goods train near village Kathogar Imlipur railway underpass. After which the police reached the spot. Aadhar card and motorcycle papers were found in the pocket of the deceased, due to which he was identified as Chetram Paswan (55 years).

After the identification of the dead body, when the police team reached the house of the deceased soldier to give information, the police were shocked to see the sight of the house. The door of the house was open and the bodies of Chetram’s wife Sunita (40 years) and son Deep were lying there soaked in blood. Chetram’s licensed double barrel gun was also lying near the dead bodies.

The news of this spread like wildfire in the entire village. After which people are in panic. The reason behind the murder has not been clear yet. Police are linking it to the murder of wife and son and then suicide. The deceased Chetram first killed his wife and son and then committed suicide by jumping in front of the train.
According to the police, the wife’s body was found lying near the bed in the room, she was shot in the head and the son’s body was found near the door of the room. On this entire matter, ACP Vipin Tada said that domestic dispute could be the reason behind the incident. After which Chetram took this dreadful step. Prima facie it seems to be a case of murder and suicide. The police is also investigating it from the economic angle.
