New Delhi: England cricketer Jonny Bairstow is stuck in Dubai due to the ongoing war between Iran and America. Bairstow has informed on his social media handle that not only he but his family is also with him in Dubai. Jonny Bairstow had reached Abu Dhabi with England Lions for the ODI series against Pakistan Shaheen. Before the second match of the series, Iran carried out heavy air strikes on some areas of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In such a dangerous situation, the second match was canceled and instructions were given to protect the players. In such a situation, Jonny Bairstow tweeted on social media and wrote, “Those who are writing that I am with the England Lions team… it is not so. I am in Dubai with my small family. The England Lions security personnel might be making every possible effort to get them out of Abu Dhabi, but I am trying to keep my family safe and get all of us out of here.”

Let us tell you that amidst the worsening situation in UAE, a statement was also issued by the England and Wales Cricket Board on Saturday, 28 February. The ECB said in its statement, “The safety of our teams and staff is our biggest priority. We are in contact with security experts and the government and are following official advice regarding the current situation in the Middle East.”
