Jammu Police, with the help of Kolkata Police, not only freed both of them but also arrested five people who had taken them hostage. Jammu Police has sent the five accused hostage takers and the two rescued youths from Kolkata to Jammu.

Mohindra Singh, resident of Nanak Nagar Sector-10, Jammu and Tushar Chib, resident of Kunjwani, decided to go to Australia on tourist visa. Both of them contacted the agent of Jammu. The agent promised to get a tourist visa. The agent asked both of them to go together to Kolkata. With the consent of the family, both the youth went to Kolkata with the agent. He introduced both of them to some people in Kolkata. After this, he was kept in the hotel for a few days and then started demanding money. Both of them were beaten and forced to ask for money from the family.

The family lodged a complaint in this regard at Gandhinagar Police Station Jammu on March 10. Police registered an FIR related to cheating, wrongful detention and extortion. A special team was formed to investigate. On Thursday, the team reached Kolkata and with the help of local police, freed the youth and arrested the accused.

The police have taken the transit remand of the accused and left for Jammu. The role of the local agent is being investigated. The arrest of the agent in this case is considered certain. In the case of kidnapping of youth, Kolkata and Jammu police took joint action in a hotel in Pragati Maidan area of ​​Kolkata. The five accused arrested in this are Mohammad Sameer Ansari, Prashant Rai, Praveen Kumar, Vanshu Munjal and Sushil Ram. All of them are said to be residents of Panipat, Haryana.
