The ongoing fierce conflict in West Asia is now entering its eighth day. Even after this, America and Israel’s swift attack on Iran and Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel and American military bases in the Gulf countries have put the entire West Asia on a heap of gunpowder. Amidst the ongoing bombing from both sides, US President Donald Trump has now revealed plans to increase his military strength and quadruple arms production.
Posting on social media platform X, US President Donald Trump said that he recently held an important meeting with America’s largest military arms manufacturing companies. In this he discussed the production and production schedule. It was also agreed to increase the production of high-end weapons four times.
Target to achieve production as soon as possible
In his post, Trump said that his priority is to achieve the production of these weapons as soon as possible and in high quantities. Along with this, he also emphasized that the work of expanding the production of these weapons has started three months ago and the manufacturing process of many weapons is still going on.
Who attended the meeting?
In his post, Trump said that the CEOs of major US military arms manufacturing companies, including BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3 Harris Missile Solutions, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon, were present at the meeting. According to Trump, these companies discussed production and production schedules in detail and agreed to produce weapons in high quantities. At the conclusion of the meeting, another meeting has been scheduled in the next two months, he said.
America’s stockpile of ammunition and weapons
In his statement, Trump said that America has an almost infinite supply of medium and upper medium range ammunition. He also told that these weapons were first used in Iran and recently they have also been used in Venezuela. Apart from this, he said that the US has also increased its orders at these levels so that production can continue as per requirement. It is clear from this statement of Trump that America is not only increasing its arms stockpile, but the expansion of production of defense companies is also encouraging employment and technological development.
What is Trump thinking amid the conflict in West Asia?
On the other hand, according to experts, this step has been taken at a time when tension is increasing in West Asia and America wants to strengthen its defense capabilities. America wants to show that it is ready for any conflict and has adequate arms and ammunition available. At the same time, some experts have also warned that the actual status of arms stockpiles has not been fully clarified and the perception of a publicized infinite supply may differ slightly from reality.
