Intellect Design Arena wins AP automation deal with major West Asia logistics firm

Intellect Design Arena shares surged 7.43 per cent to ₹643.05 on the NSE on Wednesday. The Chennai-based fintech company announced it had won a contract to deploy its Purple Fabric Accounts Payable solution for one of the world’s largest end-to-end supply chain logistics companies, headquartered in the West Asia with operations in India.

The client, which handles over 90 million container shipments annually, will use the AI-driven platform to replace manual accounts payable workflows across its SCO entities. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the deal or the name of the logistics firm.

The Purple Fabric AP solution uses large language models and document intelligence to automate invoice ingestion, classification, extraction, and validation.

According to the press release, the system has already achieved over 80 per cent end-to-end processing success — above the industry benchmark of 70 per cent typically reached after six months of stabilization — and delivers 99 per cent extraction accuracy.

The platform applies over 40 business rules to each invoice automatically and integrates directly with the client’s ERP systems.

Debanjan Kumar, CEO of Intellect’s Digital Technology for Commerce division, said the engagement reflects the company’s approach of applying AI and first-principles thinking to redesign AP operations from the ground up, enabling the logistics firm to handle volatile invoice volumes without proportional increases in headcount.

Intellect Design Arena serves over 500 customers across 61 countries. Its Purple Fabric platform is positioned as an open business-impact AI product aimed at commercial and financial operations. The stock opened at ₹607.95 and touched a high of ₹644.35 during the session, with the previous close at ₹598.55.
