New Delhi. Jitesh Sharma felt bad when he was dropped from India’s T20 World Cup squad, but now he feels that it was more important to be with his father in his last days. His father Mohan Sharma died on February 1 after illness. Jitesh told that when he got the news of not being selected in the team, he was a little sad, but with time this sadness subsided. The sadness of being out of the World Cup soon turned into a big personal challenge for him.

Jitesh said that after his father fell ill and then passed away, he realized that now the responsibility of the family rests on his shoulders. He said that he takes care of his mother, brother and family and does not show his emotions in front of them. Jitesh said that he has learned to live with this grief along with his career. He said that his father was a hero for him and if he were alive today, he would have said, go and practice, don’t worry about me. Jitesh said that he is proud of this.

Indian team wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma also gave the example of teammate Rinku Singh and said that it takes a lot of courage to return to the field after personal difficulties.
