Indian startup Agnikul did the ‘impossible’ thing, 6 year old company became a big name in the space industry

There is an Indian startup named Agnikul Cosmos. The space industry is clearly feeling the ripples of the work done by Agnikul. The company has done a work which till now seemed impossible. With this work, the company’s name has not only made a name for itself in the space industry, but India has also been proud.

Actually, Agnikul has made a rocket engine using 3D printing technology. It was launched on 30 May 2024. Its specialty is that it is a single piece engine. All the engines manufactured till now were made in separate parts. This is the first time that the entire engine was ‘printed’ in one go.

several weeks’ work in 3 days
Through 3D printing process, the cost of making the engine as well as the preparation time has also been reduced. It took Agnikul only 75 hours to create the rocket engine using 3D printing. It takes 10 to 12 weeks to make a rocket engine using the old traditional method. The entire space industry is happy about this and they feel that it will take less time to build rockets and a lot of money will also be saved.

Let us tell you that Agnikul Cosmos is an Indian aerospace startup, which makes small satellite launch vehicles. The company was started about 7 years ago in 2017. The founders are Srinath Ravichandran and Moin SPM. The headquarters of the company is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Big achievements in the name of the company
Agnibaan Rocket: This was the first rocket the company made. It was designed in such a way that it could be customized in any way. This craft can go to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) with a load of up to 100 kg. This low-cost rocket is a good option to be used for satellite launching.

Patent on 3D Printing Technology: The rocket engine that Agnikul has manufactured using 3D printing had already been patented. With this new discovery, the rocket engine will be made in 3-4 days, whereas earlier it used to take several weeks.
