India vs Netherlands Highlights: India entered the Super 8 by defeating Netherlands and entering the Super 8. Team India will face South Africa in its first match of Super 8 on 22nd. This is India’s fourth consecutive victory in this World Cup. Shivam Dubey scored 66 runs on 31 balls while Pandya played an inning of 30 runs on 21 balls. After doing wonders in batting, Dubey also made a splash in bowling. He took 2 wickets for 35 runs in 3 overs.

New Delhi. After Shivam Dubey’s explosive batting, India defeated Netherlands in its last league match on the basis of Varun Chakraborty’s brilliant bowling. The Indian team has reached Super 8 while remaining unbeaten in this tournament. While chasing the target of 194 runs set by India, the Netherlands team could only score 176 runs for 7 wickets. For India, spinner Varun Chakraborty took 3 wickets while Shivam Dubey took 2 wickets. India’s first match in Super 8 is against South Africa on 22 February which will be played in Ahmedabad. Then the Indian team will face Zimbabwe on 26 February while in its last Super 8 match, it will face West Indies on 1 March which will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The Netherlands team, which set out to chase the target, got off to a solid start. But later he lost wickets one after the other due to which the team could not reach the target. Indian spinner Varun Chakraborty had reached the hat-trick by taking two consecutive wickets in two balls but he failed to do so. For Netherlands, Bas De Leede scored the highest score of 33 runs, while Michael Levitt scored 24 runs while Colin Ackerman returned to the pavilion after scoring 23 runs. Shivam Dubey was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.

Earlier, India recovered from a slow start with Shivam Dubey’s stormy half-century and scored 193 runs for six wickets. During the best innings of his career, Dubey, apart from scoring 66 runs in 31 balls with six sixes and four fours, made a partnership of 76 runs in 35 balls for the fifth wicket with Hardik Pandya (30 runs in 21 balls, three sixes), due to which India was successful in adding 75 runs in the last five overs. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav (34) and Tilak Verma (31) also played useful innings.
For Netherlands, fast bowler Logan Van Beek was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 56 runs. Off spinner Aryan Dutt took two wickets for 19 runs. Suryakumar won the toss and decided to bat first. Abhishek Sharma’s wait to open his account in the ongoing World Cup continued and he returned to the pavilion without scoring a run for the third consecutive match. He was bowled after completely missing Aryan’s straight ball. Tilak hit a six on Van Beek while Ishan Kishan (18), who was in excellent form, also hit a four on this fast bowler.
Ishan welcomed Colin Ackerman with a six, while in the next over he also hit a four on Dutt, but the off-spinner’s next ball hit his thigh and then his elbow and ended up in the wickets. India scored 50 runs for two wickets in the power play. Suryakumar was lucky on the score of 13 runs when he was caught by Michael Levitt off the ball of Van Beek. In the same over of Van Beek, however, Roelof van der Merwe ended Tilak’s innings by taking a brilliant catch at long off. Suryakumar ended the boundary drought with a six off Bas de Leede in the 12th over, while Shivam completed the team’s century with two sixes and a four off Ackerman in the next over.
Suryakumar, however, returned to the pavilion after being caught at the boundary in the next over by fast bowler Kyle Klein. He hit two fours and a six in his 28-ball innings. India scored 118 runs for four wickets in 15 overs. Dubey sent left-arm spinner Van der Merwe’s full toss into the crowd while Hardik repeated the shot. Dubey completed his half-century in 25 balls with two sixes and a four off Van Beek in the 17th over. Hardik hit two sixes on Klein in the 19th over. Dubey also hit a six on the first ball of Van Beek but the substitute player T van der Gugten took a brilliant catch on the next ball. Hardik also got caught by Van der Merwe on the last ball.
