Former Pakistani batsman Basit Ali has made a big claim regarding the two finalists of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. According to 55 year old Basit, the team led by Salman Ali Aga will play against the Indian team in the final. This final is to be held on March 8.
Basit made this prediction during a Pakistani TV show. When the show’s host Shoaib Malik asked Basit to choose four semi-finalists for the T20 World Cup 2026, Basit said, “India, Pakistan. I am telling these two teams will play the final.”
Apart from this, he said that apart from India and Pakistan, West Indies and New Zealand will reach the semi-finals. Former Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal was also present in this show. He selected India, Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa as the four semi-finalists of T20 World Cup 2026. In the Super 8 stage of T20 World Cup 2026, India, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe are in the X group, while the Y group includes Pakistan, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
India-Pakistan schedule in T20 World Cup
Pakistan will play its first Super 8 match against New Zealand on Saturday (21 February). This match will be held in Colombo’s R. Will be held at Premadasa Stadium. Pakistan’s second Super 8 match will be against England in Pallekele on Tuesday (24 February) and on 28 February, Salman Ali Aga’s team will face Sri Lanka at the same ground.
