Illegal liquor was coming to Delhi loaded on camels, police caught smuggler

Smugglers are now adopting new methods to smuggle illicit liquor in Delhi. This time the Special Staff Team of South District Police has caught a smuggler who was smuggling liquor through the forest using camels to avoid the roads. Police have arrested the accused and recovered a large quantity of illicit liquor from the spot.

According to the police, on the night of 29th and 30th March, information was received that illegal liquor was being brought to Delhi from Faridabad through the forests of Sangam Vihar. As soon as the information was received, the police team laid a trap in the area. Late in the night the police saw a person coming in a suspicious condition with two camels.

Upon investigation, it was found that the camels were loaded with liquor boxes. The police took immediate action and caught the accused. During the search, 39 cartons of illicit liquor were recovered. The police confiscated the liquor and also rescued the camels and handed them over to the concerned department.

Invented a new way to avoid police investigation on the road

Delhi Police arrested a person named Vinod Bhadana, who is a resident of Anandpur village of Faridabad, Haryana. Police investigation has revealed that the accused used forest routes to avoid strict police checking on the roadways and used camels to carry liquor, so that he could escape the attention of the police.

Continuous strictness on Delhi-Faridabad border

Police officials say that under Operation Kavach, strict action is being taken continuously on the Delhi-Faridabad border. For this reason the smugglers had adopted this unique method. However, due to the vigilance of the police, this method could not last long and the accused was caught.

Investigation has also revealed that the accused has been involved in the case of illegal liquor in the past also. The police is now trying to find out who else are involved in this racket and where the liquor was to be supplied.
