Himachal Finance Secretary Divesh Kumar said that the annual income of Himachal is Rs 18 thousand crores while the expenditure is Rs 48 thousand crores. Now Rs 10,000 loan can be taken annually for Himachal, but Rs 13,000 crore along with interest has to be returned annually.
Liabilities of Rs 2 crores have arisen for the next financial year
Liabilities of Rs 2 thousand crore have arisen for the next financial year, if the government stops all the subsidies like electricity, water, bus fare, food subsidy (subsidy) along with social security pension, DA of employees, arrears and jobs, then in the next financial year the annual income will be Rs 52000 crore, while the expenditure will be Rs 57000 crore.
Sukhu government will go to court in RDG case
CM Sukhwinder Singh said that the government will approach the court in the case of RDG. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will go to the RDG with the demand of restoring it. The opposition will also be invited to come along. It is Himachal’s right to demand RDG. This right should be given. The government had sent a proposal to the Governor to call a special session of the Assembly in the RDG case, which has been rejected by the government. This is a fight for the interests of Himachal, we will fight it.
RDG closure will affect the economy
The closure of RDG is going to have a serious impact on the economy of Himachal Pradesh, in view of which the Sukhu government has announced to approach the court along with a political fight. The closure of RDG will have a direct impact on the state’s development schemes, employees’ salaries, pensions and various subsidies. Detailed information on the effects of RDG was shared in the cabinet meeting held today at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Sukhwinder Singh and subsequently in the presentation of the Finance Department.
According to the Finance Department, the Himachal government requires Rs 48 thousand crores to meet its annual expenses, out of which the government, despite raising Rs 42 thousand crores from its own resources, is in a deficit of Rs 6 thousand thousand crores. In such a situation, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has said that the closure of RDG will directly affect the development of Himachal Pradesh. However, the Chief Minister has assured the people of the state that the development of the state will not be allowed to be affected.
