A very tragic and shocking incident came to light on Thursday (25 September) in Ballabhgarh Sector 8. Police said that 30 -year -old Nikhil Goswami committed suicide after allegedly hit his two minor daughters at his house.

Father was in depression after his wife’s death

According to the police, initial investigation has revealed that Nikhil Goswami was in depression after the death of his wife Pooja during delivery about two months ago. This incident had already proved to be a huge shock for his family.

Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh said that no suicide note was found on the spot, so the complete information about the cause of the incident has not been clear yet.

The police have identified the deceased as Nikhil Goswami. Nikhil worked as a supervisor in a private company. She was married to Pooja in 2019. There were two daughters in this family, Siddhi, who was 2 years old, and Riddhi, who was born recently.

Police said that on Thursday, Nikhil allegedly killed his daughters by hanging from the roof fan. After this, Nikhil went to another room and committed suicide by hanging himself. Neighbors reported the incident to the police.

Police investigation continues

Police said that they have inspected the scene of the incident and the bodies have been sent for postmortem. Police say that initial investigation is still going on and efforts are being made to reach the bottom of the whole matter.

Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh said, “This is a very sad and sensitive matter. We are taking forward the investigation with help from family and neighbors.”

Neighbors say that Nikhil was often very depressed after his wife’s death, but he never showed any violent trend. Neighbors are still shocked by the news of this incident and there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire colony.
