Harry Brook played an inning of 100 runs in 51 balls against Pakistan in the Super-8 match of the tournament, due to which England won the match by 2 wickets with 5 balls remaining in the last over. With this victory, England also became the first team to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2026. Not only this, Harry Brook also made a world record in his name.

In fact, Harry Brook has become the first captain in the history of ICC T20 World Cup to score a century. Apart from Brook, no other player has been able to score a century in the T20 World Cup as captain. In the T20 World Cup, Brook is only the third batsman from England to score a century. Before Brook, Alex Hales had scored a century for England against Sri Lanka in 2014 and Jos Buttler had scored a century against Sri Lanka in 2021.
