
A girl allegedly committed suicide in Ayodhya over a love affair. The incident took place in Retia locality located in Police Station Cantt area of Ayodhya. According to family members, the girl was having a love affair with a young man and there was an agreement between them regarding marriage. The family says that the young man was ready for marriage till two days ago, but on Saturday (February 28) morning he suddenly refused to marry, after which this incident happened.

It is alleged that the young man refused to marry, after which the girl, feeling hurt, hanged herself with the help of a dupatta from the ceiling fan in her room at around 12 noon. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the family. The deceased’s brother told that his sister took this step after refusing to marry him.
Police took possession of the body and started investigation
After the incident, the accused youth is said to be absconding from the spot. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and started investigation. In this case, CO City Shriyash Tripathi said that till now no complaint has been received from the family members. After receiving the complaint, further legal action will be taken. The police is busy investigating the entire matter.
Lived in love affair before too
Earlier in the month of July last year, a case of suicide due to love affair had come to light in Ayodhya Kotwali Nagar. The dead body of a young man and a girl was found in a suspicious condition in the room of a home stay here. Police had received information that a young man and a woman were staying in room number 103 of the guest house. The room is locked from inside and no sound is coming. When the police broke into the room, they were shocked to see the sight inside. The bodies of both of them were lying in the room. It was suspected that first the young man shot the girl and then he committed suicide by shooting himself.
