After the controversy escalated, protests started in the capital Lucknow also. In protest, hoardings were put up at many places in Hazratganj area of ​​the city, in which it was written that “Hindu society will not tolerate the insult of Yogi ji’s mother”. Some posters also demanded strict action against Maulana. On March 7, youth gathered at Atal Chowk and demonstrated against Maulana Abdullah Salim. Slogans were raised during the demonstration and his effigy was also burnt. The protesters remained adamant on demanding early arrest and strict action from the administration.
