Angered by the negligence of the district administration in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, Aseem Arun, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, left a program midway. It is being told that the minister returned from the venue after getting angry over the District Magistrate not arriving on time.
According to the information, a program on the theme ‘Find your roots’ was organized by the Tourism Department at the Roma Memorial located in Sadar area. Minister Aseem Arun was invited as the chief guest in the program at 5:30 pm and he reached the venue on time.
However, the main organizer of the event and many senior officials did not arrive on time. It was told that SDM Vaishali reached the venue about 15 minutes after the minister’s arrival, while many other officials were not present there. The minister had to wait for about 45 minutes for the program to start. During this time, it was continuously announced from the stage that the program would start after the arrival of the Minister.
Even after waiting for about 45 minutes, when the program did not start and senior officials of the district administration did not reach the spot, Minister Aseem Arun considered it as disrespect and left the venue. Along with him, other BJP leaders and workers also walked out of the program.

Minister Aseem Arun has also expressed his displeasure by writing a letter to the District Officer regarding the matter. In the letter he said that there was chaos in the program organized at the Roma Memorial and the time was not followed. He told that he was invited as the chief guest at 5:30 pm and he arrived on time, but the experience there was contrary to etiquette and punctuality.
In the letter, the minister wrote that the main organizer of the program, SDM Vaishali, arrived 15 minutes after his arrival, after which the ADM arrived. He waited for the program to start for about 45 minutes, but during this time it was not clear when other officials would arrive. In such a situation, he was left with no option but to leave the venue.
The minister also said in the letter that as a public servant the officers have to be entrusted with the responsibility of the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath One should take inspiration from the working style of those who are known for punctuality and discipline. He expressed hope that in future the district administration will ensure that the dignity of time is maintained in the programs organized by it.
