

The harsh winter continues in the country’s capital. The cold wave has further increased the chill. Delhiites are taking various measures to avoid winter.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to snowfall in the mountains, severe winter continues in North India including Delhi. The mercury may fall further here in the coming days.

On the first day of the year, the cold winds further increased the cold in the heart. Although the sun also came out, due to the cold wave its effect was not visible.

On January 1, New Year’s Day, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 8.05 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature reached 17.98 degrees Celsius under clear sky.

On Thursday (January 2), the minimum temperature in Delhi is likely to be nine degrees. Apart from this, the maximum temperature can reach 18 degrees.

Meanwhile, people of Delhi are resorting to bonfires to escape the harshness of winter. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury may drop further in the coming days.

On the first day of the new year, Delhi’s air remained in poor category. AQI was recorded at 239 at 8 am. Which is considered in ‘bad’ category. This was a little better than the previous days.
