Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav on Monday (December 30) has demanded an investigation from the Election Commission into the matter arising out of the vote of AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s wife. He said that the Election Commission should investigate against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh as to how his wife Anita Singh proves herself to be a voter of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh as per the affidavit, while Sanjay Singh, in a press conference, mentioned his name in Delhi. Alleging that he was being removed from the voter list.
He further said, “He has also released the photo of him coming out after casting his vote in the New Delhi Assembly constituency. This is a punishable offense under Section 31 of the Representation of the People’s Act.

Devendra Yadav said, “Sanjay Singh, who calls himself a soldier of so-called honest Arvind Kejriwal, should clarify his position that if his wife has voted as a voter of Delhi, then Anita Singh has stated in the affidavit that she is a voter of Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh.” Why wrote? Which is illegal.” He said that the Election Commission and law enforcement agencies should take strict action to punish the culprits.
AAP and BJP are confusing the people of Delhi – Congress
For the last several days in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party and BJP have been accusing each other of cutting and getting votes cut. This is the reason why leaders of both the parties are giving their statements every day, putting forward new things along with a new issue. On this, Delhi Congress state president Devendra Yadav said, “BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders are diverting the attention of Delhi people from the stalled development by playing politics of cutting into the votes of Purvanchal and Rohingya refugees. They are trying to divert attention from the current problems.
Delhi Congress is contesting elections on public issues- Devendra Yadav
Devendra Yadav said, “Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party should move away from the politics of distraction and talk about the welfare and development of youth, women, elderly, disabled, Dalits, deprived and the person standing in the last row.” Congress is fighting the assembly elections on public issues by talking about the interests and rights of Delhi and the people of Delhi.
Earlier, Sanjay Singh said that he will file a defamation case against BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and party’s IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya, who claimed that his wife was not registered as a voter in Delhi.
