The ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran in the world has not only shaken the politics but has also thrown the lives of many innocent people into turmoil. Meanwhile, the heart-wrenching story of a newly married couple from China is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
This couple from Zhejiang province had gone to the Middle East on February 19 to celebrate their honeymoon. It was a dream to see a beautiful sunset and live romantic moments, but the attacks on Iran by America and Israel on February 28 changed everything. Let us tell you how the war separated the two.
husband and wife separated
After the attacks, there was a large-scale closure of the airspace of the Middle East. Thousands of flights were canceled and according to reports, more than 10 lakh passengers were affected. The last stop of this couple was Doha (Qatar). The husband’s name is Yu and he works in Melbourne, while the wife’s name is Zheng. Both had upgraded business class tickets using airline credits. But due to airline policy, I could not get a seat in the same flight. The wife got a flight for 28 February at 9 am, while the husband got a flight booked for the next day. The situation worsened as soon as the attacks started. There was chaos at the airport and many flights were cancelled. The wife somehow managed to escape from her flight and reach home but the husband got stuck in Doha. He tried to change the ticket to an earlier date, but it would have cost him about 35,000 yuan (about 5,000 US dollars) extra. Switching to another airline was also expensive and complicated. Ultimately the husband decided that to save money and trouble, he would stay in Doha until the situation became normal.
saw the horrors of war
Pati Yu told the media, “We ourselves felt that war could come so close.” He said that while in Doha, he saw many missile explosions, which was scary. The wife returned home but their honeymoon remained incomplete. Both are in different countries – the wife is stuck in China and the husband in Qatar. This story is not just of a couple, but of thousands of people who are trapped due to this war. The Chinese government has advised its citizens not to go to Iran and surrounding areas. The burden of millions of passengers has increased on the hub airports of the Middle East like Doha, Dubai etc. Honeymoons, family trips and business trips of many couples have been cancelled. A report said that more than 11,000 flights were canceled due to which the travel industry was badly affected. The effect of this war is visible in India also. Many Indian couples had gone for honeymoon via Dubai or Doha, but now they are stuck.
