It was told that boyfriend Farman used to work in a factory built inside the house of his girlfriend’s husband Wasim. Factory owner Wasim had thrown him out of his factory two years ago. Girlfriend’s family members Nadeem told that all the family members had gone to the mosque to offer namaz at around 4:00 in the morning, leaving his married sister-in-law Nazreen alone at home. Then young man Farman reached his house and set fire inside the house. In which his sister-in-law and young man Farman got badly burnt.
Woman referred to lover’s death
Police arrived on the information of local people and sent both of them to the hospital for treatment in injured condition. Doctors declared Farman dead. Seeing the critical condition of the seriously injured woman, the doctor referred her to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi after first aid. Police and forensic team are collecting evidence from the incident site.
Police is investigating the case from every aspect
According to the police, initially the matter is being said to be related to a love affair, although the reason for the fire has not been clearly revealed yet. Police are investigating all aspects, suicide, accident or any other conspiracy. In view of the tense situation in the area, additional police force was deployed.
Police started investigating the case
Regarding the incident, Area Officer City Pratham Mayank Pathak said that on February 23, 2026 at 07.00 pm in Police Station Kotwali Nagar, information was received about burning of two persons Farman and Nazreen wife Wasim from Wasim’s house from Turkman Gate under Police Station Kotwali. The police immediately reached the spot and sent Majrub to the hospital. Where Farman died. Whereas Nazreen has been referred to Delhi for advance legal treatment. Prima facie, no information has been received about the presence of any third person at the spot, advance legal action is being taken by the police. Also, the process of collecting evidence from the spot is going on by the field unit.
