Congress must be realistic, RJD Accommodative in Seat -Shaking Talks for Bihar Polls: Dipankar – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live – There is a fierce battle in India block on seat sharing

The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, which became part of the opposition alliance in Bihar, has hoped that the Congress will take more realistic stance in the seat sharing conversation this time. Party General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the Congress should take a lesson from the 2020 assembly elections when it had asked for more seats than its capacity, but the performance was very weak.

Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also showed more flexibility for small parties about seats, as this time the opposition alliance is likely to enter new parties, which could lead to the alliance. Bhattacharya said that his party wants to contest at least 40 seats out of 243 this time, while in 2020 he contested only 19 seats. He also clarified that if India block comes to power, then Tejashwi Yadav will be the face of the Chief Minister’s post and there is no doubt.

He said, ‘The conversation is going on .. There was a slight delay due to the SIR movement, as it took a lot of time and energy. But I hope the picture will be clear by the end of this month. On the demand of more seats after the Congress’s recent ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, Bhattacharya said, I saw that Kukh Congress leaders are asking for about 70 seats. But last time he contested 70 seats and won only 19 seats.

Giving the example of the 2015 election, he said that at that time the Congress had contested 40 seats, then it won 27 seats, which was a great performance. But in 2020, he sat a lot of burden by contesting 70 seats. Therefore, they should adopt a balanced stance this time. Bhattacharya said, “If the Congress contests the seat less than the last time, but performs better, it will be better for them and for the entire India block.”

The Grand Alliance in 2020 included RJD, Congress and Left parties. He gave a tough competition, but missed a majority. Many political analysts stated the reason for the Congress’s poor performance. RJD won 75 seats in 144 seats, while the Congress was reduced to 19 seats. At the same time, the CPI (Male) Liberation shocked everyone by winning 12 seats in 19 and the CPI and CPI-M got two seats each. Bhattacharya said that RJD and Congress will have to show flexibility in seats, as new companions are also joining the coalition.
